Keeping track of your water intake on a daily basis can be a task that feels like a chore if you use the wrong app to do so and the last thing you want is to become discouraged because tracking is a hassle.

Primo Water is a well-designed handy app that lets you track your water intake with one tap.

Concept and Functionality:

We’ve taken a look at other water trackers here on The iPhone App Review, and there certainly isn’t a shortage of them on the App Store.

One of the things that sets Primo Water, developed by Scirocco Consultants Inc., apart from the rest is the fact that it’s ridiculously easy to use.

Instead of having to fill out an extensive log sheet every time you want to add an entry, the only thing you have to do is tap the faucet on the main screen.

I do want to mention is that when you initially open the app, fluid units are in mL. If you’re not comfortable with metric or just prefer a different unit of measure, simply tap the cog wheel at the top of the screen and then tap on the Units section to change to ounces, cups, litres or whatever.

I was impressed to see how many languages are supported in Primo Water, 16 in all, which makes the app perfect for users all over the world.

I found Primo Water to be a pleasure to use.

In terms of navigation and usability, everything is easy to locate and set up. Also, you’ll notice the water level on the screen rise as you come closer to your daily goal. Visual references like this are incredibly helpful when it comes to encouraging you to keep sticking to your goals.

Primo Water goes far beyond simply logging your water intake.

As you continue to use the app over time you can check out the history log that details how much fluid you’ve consumed, as well as at what time of day. If you happen to miss logging a glass, the app lets you easily add it without hassle.

Also, Primo Water lets you choose from a variety of color themes to customize the app, as well as badge and push notifications so you can keep track of how much you’ve consumed or how much you need to drink in order to reach your goal.

Primo Water is available to download from the App Store for $1.99 and is universally compatible with iPhone and iPad. There are no in-app purchases to worry about, so what you see is what you get.

When it comes to price, it’s worth every penny if you’re serious about tracking your water intake.

Overall, Primo Water is a fantastic health app that not only helps you build good habits and reach your water intake goals, but it’s also very easy to use.

I highly recommend checking it out if you’re determined to stay on top of your health. And if you’re still wondering if this app is for you or not, check out Primo Water Lite for free. There are no ads or in-app purchases, although it is limited in terms of cups per day and reminders per day. Otherwise it is identical to full version.
