RE/MAX Masters, developed by Homendo, is a fantastic iPad app for anyone who is looking to buy a home in Colorado. Packed with tons of useful features and tools, this is definitely a must-have app for anyone who is checking out the state’s real estate market.
Concept and Functionality:
As someone who has used quite a few real estate apps, I can say with quite a bit of certainty that RE/MAX Masters is a wonderful tool. Along with basic features that one would expect from a real estate app (such as comprehensive listing information), this particular tool goes far above and beyond simply searching for listings in the local area.
If you’re shopping for a home in Colorado, all you have to do is open up RE/MAX Masters and navigate to the neighborhood that you want to search. The app does the rest by showing you all of the available listings on the map and via the thumbnail sidebar. Tapping on a listing reveals all of the information about that home, as well as contact details for the listing agent(s) and even local deals on home services.
There’s also a very handy (and somewhat hidden) menu that can be accessed from the map which shows you your account dashboard. This is where you can quickly access tools such as your profile, calendar, and listing information. The account dashboard looks like it caters to both buyers and real estate agents, which is also a plus.
The only thing that bugged me about RE/MAX Masters is the fact that it’s very easy to mistakenly download it without realizing that it only caters to one state. After all, RE/MAX is a nationwide real estate company. Therefore, the only suggestion I have is to somehow include this in the app title to help users better understand the fact that listings are limited to Colorado.
RE/MAX Masters includes a ton of neat features to enhance your home buying experience. This includes augmented reality, 360° photo galleries, GPS-based tracking, image recognition, and listings that are updated every 15 minutes.
All of these features are intended to help you find information about homes in your area quickly and easily, and they do a pretty good job of it. Unfortunately I wasn’t able to test the augmented reality and tracking features seeing as I’m not located in Colorado, but each feature looks very solid and well-designed.
Users can optionally create an account within the app, which will allow them to save favorite listings so they can be accessed at a later time a different device. Creating an account also unlocks more useful features, including the ability to attach notes and tags to listings.
This is much easier than trying to keep track of notes using a different app or method. Having an account also allows you to easily stay in touch with any realtors you’re working with.
RE/MAX Masters is available to download from the App Store for free and is compatible with iPad. There’s also an iPhone version of the app which allows you to access even more features while searching for a home in Colorado.
Overall, RE/MAX Masters would make a wonderful addition to any homebuyer’s toolkit, and hopefully we’ll see similar apps for more states in the near future.
Re/Max Masters requires iOS 6.0 or later and is compatible with iPad. A small expedite fee was paid to speed up the publication of this review.
