Read Hauck has released a new app for the iPhone, iPod Touch, and iPad called SnapVault Lite. Like its names suggests, the app allows users to keep all of the Snapchats that they are sent, instead of having them vanish into thin air after only a few seconds.
Not only does it let you snap your friend’s Snapchat photos, but it lets you save them into your own personal SnapVault, preventing others from viewing them without your permission.
The app is a great way to re-live SnapChat memories at later times.
SnapVault Lite is full of features that enable the user to save SnapChats secretly, without the sender knowing.
No more taking screenshots to save those shady Snaps! Now with SnapVault Lite, one can save both pictures and videos that normally appear deleted on the usual picture viewer , and they can instead place them into Vaults.
SnapVault Lite’s features include being able to create password-protected folders (vaults) to secure a person’s Snaps; besides being password protected, these vaults allow users to preview their snaps by seeing small thumbnail previews.
Additionally, SnapVault Lite lets the user drag and drop photos into folders or, if no longer needed, into the trash bin. SnapVault Lite can also be integrated into one’s Facebook, Twitter, Messaging, Tumblr, or email to make it even easier to share photos if desired.
While this app probably won’t have much appeal to anyone not currently using SnapChat itself, its high “features” rating is simply meant to reflect its usability to those who are using the popular app.
Appearance and Layout:
SnapVault Lite has a splendid, simple layout that is easy to use.
The developers did a great job designing SnapVault Lite, and it shows how user-friendly they want it to be.
This simple layout lets anyone who is even vaguely familiar with photo sharing/storing services to quickly understand how to navigate through the app, and the “drag/drop” interface adds great speed as well.
Additionally, the app is made with a clean layout, leaving the screen with no unnecessary clutter at any one time.
SnapVault Lite is available on the iTunes store for free, giving it a 5/5 for “value.” Besides its great “price,” it only takes 2.8 MB to turn your iPhone, iPod touch, or iPad into a safe vault to hide your SnapChat pictures.
Overall, if you want a slightly shady, but extremely useful and resourceful app, check out SnapVault Lite, and use it for hiding those SnapChats.
SnapVault Lite requires iOS 5.0 or later. Compatible with iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch. This app is optimized for iPhone 5. A small expedite fee was paid to speed up the publication of this review.
