Do you remember 1997 when Pokemon was a huge phenomenon permeating both the local schoolyards and your living room? Pokemon crept onto the scene and literally altered the way that children relate to interactive gaming experience and related to animated creatures.
Now PokeBuilder, from Sprockit Apps, aims to leverage the massive cult following of this classic game, by offering highly acute customization and direct synchronization with various Nintendo platforms.
The game itself does an excellent job of providing a fluid and polished framework for both Pokemon novices and experts and is bound to rack up a cult following itself.
This game boasts the ability to enable users to create Pokemon out of thin air, from absolute scratch. You can upload your newly customized Pokemon characters directly to your Nintendo DS game.
The game also syncs with Black and White, Black & White 2, Diamond & Pearl, Gold, Silver and Platinum.
The game in itself allows for a huge amount of character exploration, including the ability to name your character, adjust its primary ability, morph its nature, and also adjust its held item.
Concept and Functionality:
The app itself is not a traditional game, or even a traditional app by any sense of the word “traditional”. It’s targeting a niche market that requires extensive experience (except for the bold) in the game of Pokemon.
The format is excellent, exploration is simple enough and the app has a whole does not crash and receives very high accolades from its user base.
It does a nice job of balancing some comprehensive features with an easy navigable interface, and has a natural feel with a delightful aesthetic.
For the demographic that spends money on Pokemon cards, games, merchandise and accessories, this is simply going to be a negligible drop in the bucket.
I would not traditionally buy this game, but I am not an avid Pokemon gamer and pictured the eye of the gamer throughout this artfully worded review. At the same time, there are millions who are going to find this app a crucial piece of their gaming repertoire.
For the right crowd, we can recommend this app highly, and suggest that you add PokeBuilder to the mix.
PokeBuilder requires iOS 6.0 or later. Compatible with iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch. This app is optimized for iPhone 5. A small expedite fee was paid to speed up the publication of this review.
