Tower defense games can be a perfect blend of strategy, fun, and adrenaline. One of my favorite things about this gaming genre is that most games cater to both casual and hardcore players alike.

Man at Arms TD, developed by Inert Soap, is a tower defense game for iPad that absolutely shatters the mold for this particular genre.

Concept and Gameplay:

Man at Arms TD is a revolutionary new strategy game that blends multiple gameplay elements to create a truly unique experience.

A tower defense game at heart, this addicting and challenging strategy game requires you to utilize collectible cards in order to build your towers and armies. These cards drop randomly from enemies that you defeat while playing the game.

As you traverse your way through 24 different levels, the cards you collect will allow you to create an army that’s suited to your play style. There are a total of 150 cards available in Man at Arms TD, meaning there are millions of different card combinations you can use while playing.

Perhaps my favorite thing about this particular game is that it wasn’t hard to learn at all. However, that doesn’t mean it’s not challenging.

It’s worth mentioning that the developers of Man at Arms TD formerly worked on Blizzard’s famous Diablo franchise. I was really happy to see that this professional background shined through in this particular game, making it truly extraordinary.

From fantastic graphics to multiple gameplay elements that lead to countless hours of playtime, Man at Arms TD is certainly one-of-a-kind and has quickly become my favorite tower defense game.

Man at Arms TD iPad Game Review

Man at Arms TD is loaded with awesome features that make it a fantastic tower defense game, but there are a couple that are particularly notable. First, the game features extensive Game Center integration that stretches far beyond comparing high scores and achievements.

Man at Arms TD comes with its own level designer for players to use, and once you create your level you can send it to your friends as a challenge. This is definitely something I personally have not come across in any other tower defense game.

Another fantastic feature Man at Arms TD offers is a goal to strive for, which is essentially creating the perfect card deck.

The game is far more than just killing stuff, collecting cards, and unlocking achievements. You can purchase card packs using gems, and you can even combine various cards to make new ones.

Man at Arms TD is available to download from the App Store for $4.99 and is compatible with iPad. While the price tag might make you think twice about purchasing this game, I can assure you that Man at Arms TD could hold its own against console games and mobile games alike.

The sheer depth of this fantastic tower defense game is enough to keep you playing for countless hours, which is why I highly recommend it for anyone who’s a fan of tower defense games.

Man at Arms TD requires iOS 5.1 or later and is compatible with iPad. A small expedite fee was paid to speed up the publication of this review.
