Funny Cows Puzzle is a puzzle game designed to keep your child busy with interactive puzzles that are both fun and cognitive.
Each puzzle is of a different cartoon cow caricature that is broken into multiple puzzle pieces. Just like a typical puzzle, the game is based on connecting puzzle pieces together in the right places to form a picture.
The further the game progresses, the greater the difficulty increases. This increase in difficulty not only helps keep the game interesting, but it also challenges children to cognitively solve each new puzzle differently.
One feature that parents will appreciate is the built-in parental lock feature.
Since the game requires an additional $0.99 to unlock most of the puzzles, this parental lock prevents any child from accidentally making any unwanted purchases on his/her parent’s Apple account.
Appearance and Layout:
The puzzles of cartoon cows are all unique and colorful.
Even though the game’s target audience is children between the ages of 2 and 7, the artwork has its own style and charm that could easily appeal to kids and adults.
Although the game lacks a “main menu” or title screen, the overall layout of the game is very simple, and it is this simplicity that makes it easy for children to navigate and enjoy all the different featured puzzles.
As mentioned previously, the layout of this app does incorporated a parental lock that diminishes any cause for concern that a child would purchase additional content. However, this “parental lock” is not input in a way that detracts from the appearance of the game itself.
The app itself is free, but this free version only includes 8 out of the 32 puzzles in the game.
An in-app purchase of $0.99 is required to unlock the additional 24 puzzles.
However, once a puzzle is completed, a child is able to go back and play the puzzle again.
This re-playability adds to the value of the game and allows children to repeat puzzles of their favorite cows.
Funny Cows Puzzle requires iOS 3.2 or later and is compatible with iPhone, iPod Touch, and iPad. A small expedite fee was paid to speed up the publication of this review.
