One of the greatest things about app development is that all apps essentially start the same way – as a blank canvas.
With the right vision, coding capability, fiscal backing, and tenacity, absolutely anything is possible in the app world.
A single talented developer can crank out an app that measures tennis ball velocity, and another app that measures tennis-match ticket pricing, all in the same quarter. Or maybe those disparate tennis-related functions are even a tad too practical, and the developer can choose to get wildly creative with it instead!
In fact, maybe the developer intends to create an animated tennis ball that can navigate various landscapes, and collect invaluable diamonds along the way.
Did I give it away yet? Well, welcome to the world of Courli, the action oriented puzzle game that allows you to control a frenetic little tennis ball, and navigate him through worlds away.
The game itself boasts 4 separate “Worlds”, and 120 separate levels. Each level has it’s own twists and turns, and its own set of obstacles to be on the lookout for.
Whether it’s literal pitfalls, spikes, blockades, fire or ice, navigate Courli through various dangers and levels and proceed to the elusive flag at the end of each level.
By collecting diamonds and progressing to the end of each level, you’ll unlock new worlds and discover more of the vast landscapes in the world of Courli.
The app also prides itself on its functionality for children, and contains no materials that could be abused or otherwise considered adverse. This means no ads, no links leading to external sites, no in-app purchases, or push notifications.
This will give parents peace of mind, that if they’re going to let their kid get some game time in, they’ll know exactly what that pertains to.
Concept and Functionality:
Courli itself is an original concept that finds itself somewhere between Snood, Pacman and Mario. The main character is an amiable little fellow (tennis ball fellow to be exact), and the app plays out without a hitch.
Gameplay is captivating and smooth, and each level contains enough variation that you’ll stay interested and challenged throughout.
If you get bored, levels will increase in difficulty, and if you get really bored, well, the app was probably meant for your kid anyway.
Through the end of 2013, this app is actually available for a reduced price.
Courli is a fun game ripe with original and interesting content and absolutely one that we’ve got to recommend.
It takes its content very seriously, and doesn’t bog the user down with endless purchase incentives and ulterior motives.
This is an innovative action-puzzle game that does just what it sets out to do. And for that, we give our holiday cheers to Courli and recommend a download, even if you use Google Play or have a Kindle, pronto.
Courli requires iOS 4.3 or later. Compatible with iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch. This app is optimized for iPhone 5. A small expedite fee was paid to speed up the publication of this review.
