iPhone App Review by TheiPhoneAppReview.com
With so many photos, apps and documents floating around between your smartphone and computer, it eventually becomes a hassle to keep track of all those pdfs, docs and gifs.
What’s the best way to combat the clutter? iFile Pocket, created by independent developer Lin Shijin, is an app that’s compatible not only with your iPhone but also your iPad and iPod and allows users to keep all of their files – be it photos, videos, music – all in one convenient place.
Concept and Functionality:
Even though my iPhone syncs with my computer, there are still a lot of files on each device that don’t crossover. For the most part, though, I keep most of my files, especially important documents, on the cloud.
Despite all of the different locations where your photos and notes and such might be, iFile Pocket can take any files from anywhere and tidy them up in the app’s very simple to use interface.
Though there are a lot of cloud file storage platforms out there already such as Dropbox and Google Drive, but the problem is that they’re all separate. Through iFile Pocket, you can access your files conveniently under the cloud tab where you can log into any of the given cloud accounts like Box or Sky Drive.
The main section of this app allows you to do any one of the following tasks: create a new folder, find and save photos from your image library, create and save recordings, store notes in text files and much more.
Worried about the potential for more digital clutter? Don’t worry – all of these files will be saved onto iFile Pocket, in addition to any pre-existing files you may already have.
In addition to being able to manage and organize files as well as browse media within the app, users also have the ability to transfer and share files via Wi-Fi. If you’re looking to take notes on the fly, iFile Pocket can also act as a notepad and do things like embed audio, images, maps and more into note files.
Within the folders that you create to organize files you’ve imported, iFile Pocket gives you many options to work with. To find a file, you can search for it or you can sort your files by name, size, date or type.
And when you click on a file, you can even save it into your favorites category for future reference or even convert your file into a pdf file within seconds!
Though the cloud software space is an industry that is becoming saturated quickly, iFile Pocket certainly makes its mark as a very easy to use file aggregator and organizer.
Not only can you pull files from various sources such as other cloud software, but you can also create rich notes to save within the app and customize how you want your files and where you want them to go.
iFile Pocket is a useful app to say the least, and if you haven’t already, definitely give the app a try.
