iPhone Game Review by TheiPhoneAppReview.com
Aerofly FS, by IPACS, brings a virtual flying experience to iOS devices. Sold for a basic price of $0.99 with the option of purchasable additions, Aerofly FS is promises to be the budding pilot’s dream come true.
Specifically, the app features 16 different aircraft options; however, some of these options only appear to be available through special purchases, and such additional costs must be considered when weighing the “value” of the game.
Still, what is included in the basic version of Aerofly FS is definitely more than enough for players to get into the game and enjoy its many features.
Such features include the ability to control your plane for a virtual flying experience over lovely landscape designed to resemble the Swiss Alps and options to “land” in virtual representations of actual airports in Switzerland.
For beginning players with no experience with flying or virtual flight simulators, figuring out how to “play” Aerofly FS may take a bit of time, but the app is definitely designed in such a way as to enable beginners to still enjoy the game.
Overall, I found Aerofly FS to be an incredibly designed app that really seemed perfect for anyone with an itch to learn more about piloting.
Appearance and Layout:
The layout of Aerofly FS is positively beautiful. It is simplistic yet fully covers all that should be covered in such an app. The screen is never too cluttered at any one time, yet all important information can be easily located and accessed.
The graphics in Aerofly FS are also stunning; the app boasts of giving its players impressive views of the Swiss countryside, and it definitely does not disappoint. Additionally, the fully rotatable view provided in the app truly does optimize a player’s experience, allowing one to get a full-picture idea of the flying experience (or, as close to one as a virtual flight simulator can provide).
Again, while the layout of Aerofly FS is fairly intuitive, it still should be noted that beginning players will most likely still take awhile to get used to controlling their planes through the on-screen flight control icons provided.
However, this slight difficulty would only be due to inexperience on the part of the player and not inconvenience in any part of the layout of the app.
As mentioned previously, Aerofly FS is sold for $0.99 through the iTunes Store. While this price seems more than justified for an app of its quality, some users may find it a bit frustrating that making additional purchases is required in order to truly experience all that the app has to offer.
However, as a whole, Aerofly FS is still an app that is worth its price tag.
Aerofly FS for iPhone app requires iOS 5.0 or later and is compatible with iPhone, iPod Touch, and iPad. A small expedite fee was paid to speed up the publication of this review.
