Email for Business
iPad App Review by TheiPhoneAppReview.com
Because of what we do (review iPhone applications, mostly) we tend to send a whole lot of business-related emails. Yes, we’re no strangers to the lengthy paragraphs, buzzwords, and cliches. However, this does mean we’ve got a particularly keen eye on Email for Business, from Extentia Information Technology Pvt. Ltd.
In essence, the app wants to make it simple to create truly gorgeous emails, and all from the safety and simplicity of your iPad. It does this by allotting you a set of graphics that can easily be customized to match your brand. Then, it’s off to the web you go!

Concept and Functionality
As stated, the idea behind Email for Business is pretty simple. Primarily, the app gives you a load of letterheads to choose from. These headers are all pre-formatted to work with your user profile, which you create upon booting the app. This section contains information about you, your address, your business name, your title, etc.
By giving the app everything it wants in that regard, you’re enabling it to inject that same data into its graphics.
The end results? Instant, good-looking headers for your emails! You’ll also get a snazzy signature to go along with it. It’s a tight combination, though we have to wonder: With the volume of emails that we send, do we really want to add bulky images to our conversations? Sure, it looks good: But how many times can I send the same letterhead with an email before the added clutter starts to muddle the included information?
Email for Business also offers notecards, which we find a lot more appealing. If you’ve ever needed to thank a client, then you’ll understand the value of an immediate, very well-designed note of appreciation.
Design and Interface
For the most part, we liked what Email for Business brought to the table in terms of design, as well. The app is solid, though perhaps not the most minimalist we’ve ever seen.
Either way, it was easy enough to navigate around, and the process of adding our personal information could not have been simpler. The included letterheads are also varied and good enough to warrant interest. In other words, Email for Business is doing well in the good looks and charm department.
Where it’s not doing so well is in the pricing neck of the woods. At five dollars, we’re just not sure Email for Business is worth the money. Sure, it makes your emails look nicer. But in our experience, there’s not much of a need for it anyhow.
The notecards make for an excellent thank you, however, and the design of the app does make the process seamless. So if that’s worth it to you, then you’ll definitely get your money’s worth.
Email for Business requires iOS 6.0 or later and is compatible with iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch. A small expedite fee was paid to speed up the publication of this review.
