iPhone App Review by TheiPhoneAppReview.com
Card2You is an app by Advanced Image Direct that seeks to expedite the process of creating cards from your personal photos. With no need to utilize another printing service company, Card2You is one easy way for iOS users to get card-based prints of their favorite photos with incredible ease.
Card2You allows iOS users to create cards from their own photos. These cards are then shipped directly to their designated recipients, meaning that Card2You users never actually have to pay extra to ship the cards themselves.
In addition to the basic features of direct printing and mailing services, Card2You users are also provided with the ability to create and save mailing lists, the choice to quickly and easily add QR codes to cards, and the option to save personal messages for future use if desired. I found using Card2You to be impressively simple in the organization of its features and was pleased overall with the quality of the postcard I ordered through the app.
The card was definitely made of quality paper and the printing colors seemed fairly true to what I anticipated. Perhaps my greatest complaint about this app would probably be the length of time that it seemed to take before I received the card I ordered; it took around two weeks for me to actually get it.
At the same time, however, for anyone who is planning far enough ahead to take advantage of the features offered through Card2You, this app is still a great way to conveniently print and ship personalized cards.
Appearance and Layout:
Card2You’s layout is extremely user-friendly, and I had no difficulty with using it the first time I tried it out. The process of selecting a photo, designating a recipient, and typing a message is logically arranged and leaves little to no room for confusion.
The graphics of Card2You are also impressive for an app of its type; the Card2You icon is fun and creative and the in-app icon representations for the app’s various features keep its layout clean and simple. Overall, the quality layout of Card2You seemed to be fairly indicative of the quality of the products offered through the app as well.
Card2You is a free app, but actually ordering any prints through the app does cost various fees (based on the quantity of “credits” purchased). Still, the ease in using Card2You was very impressive, and the fees associated with actually purchasing cards through it are relatively reasonable.
Since the cost of shipping these cards to their final destinations is already included in the price of a card, Card2You users can relax knowing that their cards are being sent to their desired recipients without them ever needing to worry about actually having to make a trip to the post office themselves.
Card2You iPhone app requires iOS 4.3 or later and is compatible with iPhone, iPod Touch, and iPad. A small expedite fee was paid to speed up the publication of this review.
