EyeTuner Photo Editor
iPhone App Review by TheiPhoneAppReview.com
Looking for a goody photo editor to play around with? Then the EyeTuner Photo Editor app from developer WireMuch.com is just the perfect app to have some fun with and make sure all your subjects have just the right “eyes”.
When you initially load the EyeTuner Photo Editor app, they will be prompted to either open an existing picture on their device or take a new one. Once you upload the desired photo, you can access certain edit icons on the bottom of the app screen and start having fun swapping in different eyes. It also makes it relatively easy to change the eyes of your target pic since it auto-detects the location of the eyes – a nice touch.
The plus sign icon lets you choose from a selection of free eyes, and as stated, has the ability to detect exactly where eye placement should be. However, if you want to unlock any of the eyes in the other packs such as the “Animal Pack” or “Accessories Pack”, “Fantasy Pack”, “Monsters Pack”, “Pattern Pack”, “Sci-Fi Pack”, or “Miscellaneous Pack”, you will need to make an in-app purchase.
The other editing icons on the bottom of the app screen also includes a delete function, in-app store, saving options, and sharing functions via email or social network accounts.
Appearance and Layout:
The overall layout of the EyeTuner Photo Editor app is simply laid out and a breeze to tap around and figure out. Its graphics, color scheme, and appearance also border on the simplistic side making it easy to use. It is also suited for iPads for optimal viewing. The downside of the app is that every time you open it there are always a couple of ads that pop up that you need to close before you can access the main menu of the app. Also, there are banner ads that run along the top border of the app when you load and edit photos which somewhat becomes distracting. The only way to get rid of the ads is if you pay 99 cents to do so.
Even though the EyeTuner Photo Editor app is offered for free, it doesn’t really offer much to truly satisfy its users. Also, the combination of constant bombarding of ads and push for in-app purchases makes the app less appealing.
However, since it is offered for free, it doesn’t hurt to give it a try and fiddle around with, especially if you are into making funny photos of friends with different kinds of eyes. If you find it to your liking you just might find it worth it to make additional editing “pack” purchases.
EyeTuner Photo Editor app requires iOS 5.0 or later and is compatible with iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad. This app is optimized for iPhone 5. A small expedite fee was paid to speed up the publication of this review.
