Benkyou Math: Grade 3
iPad App Review by TheiPhoneAppReview.com
I don’t get mystified very often when it comes to apps nowadays. It does happen, though, and it usually occurs when I come across a spectacular app that goes well above and beyond expectations.
Concept and Functionality:
Benkyou Math: Grade 3 definitely stunned me because it is an incredible learning tool that’s packed with awesome goodies for children and parents. It’s like having a virtual tutor available whenever or wherever. The mystifying part? It’s completely free. No ads, no in-app purchases, no paid version, nada.
Why is this such a surprising thing? To delve into everything Benkyou Math: Grade 3 has to offer would be to triple the length of this review. Yes, it’s that good! The app allows children to study all four math operations with ease and includes a bunch of customization options that parents can specify. You can choose to have your child answer practice questions or complete tests. Answers are selected from a wide range of multiple choice options, too.
Benkyou Math: Grade 3 has an adorable layout that’s fully customizable, along with cool sound effects and animations that will surely keep your child entertained without distracting them. One thing I definitely recommend, though, is that parents set the app up before giving it to their child, as the menu might be a bit daunting for youngsters to navigate.
From detailed practice and test results to being able to see how much time your child spent on a question, Benkyou Math: Grade 3 covers almost everything imaginable.
I can honestly say that I’ve never seen a math app so detailed and thorough when it comes to features for both children and parents. The best part is that the app encourages parents to be involved in the learning process instead of handing the iDevice to their child and leaving it at that.
Another awesome feature Benkyou Math: Grade 3 has is the ability to review questions once they’ve been answered. This brief five second intermission between questions (which can be paused for further studying) is a chance for your child to see exactly how to solve a given equation. Again, this is the first math app I’ve encountered that does this.
Benkyou Math: Grade 3 can be downloaded for free from the App Store and is universally compatible with iPad and iPhone. To sum everything up, this is by far the best math learning app I’ve seen.
If you’re the parent of a youngster and you’re looking for an education app that goes well above and beyond without costing you a penny, this is a must-have app.
Benkyou Math: Grade 3 is compatible with iPhone, iPod touch and iPad. Requires iOS 4.3 or later. This app is optimized for iPhone 5. A small expedite fee was paid by the developer to speed up the publication of this review.
