iPhone App Review by TheiPhoneAppReview.com
If you’re a longtime—and particularly dedicated—reader of ours, then you’re likely aware of the fact that AppZapp, from ConIT AG, has been across our desk a sum total of three times now. The first time ‘round, it was a solid App Store utility shopper. The second time, it was an even more improved version of its former self. This time around, it’s a simply stunning compendium of all things good, cheap and wholesome on the App Store. With that in mind, we’re chuffed to bits to bring you yet another review of it below. Scroll on down below the break to get started!
Concept and Functionality
When we first saw AppZapp back in 2011, it was a utility that allowed you to peruse the App Store for sudden deals, absolute steals, and other catchy bargains. It let you track apps and receive notifications upon a price cut. It even let you review, rate and discuss applications with other AppZapp users.
And it was gloriously good.
Thankfully, all of that functionality is still here, though with some marked improvements and notable additions. For instance, the latest edition comes with a totally new redesign, including in-app chatter between users, more easily accessible information, a bolstered collection messaging system, as well as a host of other smaller improvements. You’ll also still retain the ability to create your own profile, and then load it up with your prized applications and app compilations. And, as always, the same sale-hawking functionality is still here in force.
In other words, if you’ve ever enjoyed AppZapp, you’re going to love the latest number in the series’ bright ideas. It’s now beefier, but still streamlined, and still every bit the App Store it’s always been.
Design and Interface
Those changes aside, however, the real kicker comes in the app’s newest redesign. AppZapp is simply stunning offering a refined and minimalist interface complete with pop-ups, a Facebook style messaging system, and even better profiles. Sure, it looks a lot like everyone’s favorite social media platform. But then again, it’s a good model to copy.
The small bug fixes and overall performance boosts are also a nice touch. AppZapp runs faster than ever, even with the added functionality. It’s a solid outing, and we’re quite impressed with the developers’ desire to reinvent for the better. Now that’s dedication!
And as always, AppZapp is still free. If you’re looking for a remarkably simple way to tuck into the deeper portions of the App Store without spending a penny, this is easily the best way to do it. AppZapp is still our favorite “app shopping for apps app,” and with very good reason. If you’ve not tried it, there’s no time like the present.
