iPhone App Review by TheiPhoneAppReview.com
Zen Break is an game for the iPhone and iPod touch. The point of Zen Break is to destroy the balls as they move. The game resembles classic breakout and arkanoid games that can be fun and challenging. Zen Break comes with fluid gameplay, intriguing music, and simple yet elegant graphics.
Right now the app is free so I would definitely recommend downloading it to your device. Just a warning though, if you have iOS 7, don’t get it until they make an update past 1.0. The game is buggy, and so sometimes it’s difficult to use, but it’s also simple and fun. If you haven’t upgraded to iOS 7, it might be worth checking out.
The features of Zen Break are very interesting. The game features fluid and simple gameplay that still provides a challenge. It’s one of those games that are easy to play but challenging to master. Zen Break has a scoring system integrated to let you get points. The developers even integrated Game Center support. This let’s you play for leader boards and achievements across multiple iOS devices.
Zen Break even has social networking features. This will let you share about your scores and accomplishments across several social networking sites. Currently Facebook and Twitter are supported, but the developer will hopefully add support for more devices in the future.
The design of Zen Break is similar to the way Apple designs it’s products. The colors are clear and crisp that look great on any iOS device. The black on white pattern is evident throughout the entire app and really brings a level of classiness to the application. The developers managed to include support for the iPhone 5, so if you have Apple’s latest device, Zen Break might be worth looking at.
The menu system is also easy to use. The menu consist of a black and white circle with the various menu options available. Again, the developers and designers were very precise and elegant in their approach to designing the app. Overall the game has decent gameplay and an above average design. I look forward to seeing what the developers have in store for future updates.
The app was first released on Jun 3, so hopefully we will see some more updates in the pipeline. In total, the app is decent, and free, so if you are looking for some simple fun, I would check out this one.
Zen Break is compatible with iPhone, iPod touch and iPad. Requires iOS 6.0 or later. This app is optimized for iPhone 5. A small expedite fee was paid to speed up the publication of this review.
