iPad App Review by TheiPhoneAppReview.com
If you’re a professional who handles heavy volume of files per day, chances are you’ve often wondered if there’s an easier way to do so on your iPad. On the other hand, you might be a college student who has a hard time keeping track of papers and projects. What you need is a file manager that will help to get your digital life in order.
Concept and Functionality:
If you own more than one computer or mobile device, you probably have a bunch of personal files floating around. While you might make a few attempts to consolidate your digital life, this is a task that usually takes quite some time to complete. The iPad is great, but sometimes it makes the situation worse by spreading files around even more. That’s when you need an app like DragNSYNC, which will allow you to quickly and easily keep all of your iPad files organized.
One of the first things I noticed about DragNSYNC was that the app takes security seriously. You can optionally create an account to receive customer support, but this isn’t mandatory. However, you’re required to set a passcode lock, recovery email, and security question before you can proceed. Once that’s completed, you’re free to navigate DragNSYNC and enjoy everything the app has to offer.
As far as usability, I found DragNSYNC to be the easiest file management app I’ve ever used. You have a ton of options as far as organization and privacy, giving you complete control over important files, folders, and photos. One thing I do want to mention, though, is the fact that DragNSYNC isn’t meant to manage system files on your iPad. However, you’ll find the app to be incredibly useful if you deal with a lot of documents on a daily basis.
DragNSYNC is full of awesome and useful features, many of which I’ve never even seen in other file management apps. A perfect example would be Decoy Mode. Imagine yourself minding your own business while using DragNSYNC. All of a sudden your teacher, parent, or other half demands to see your iPad to find out what you’re up to. If time allows, quickly close and reopen the app and enter a special passcode to activate Decoy Mode. All of your personal files will be safe and secure, and the intruder won’t find anything to hold against you.
Another useful feature DragNSYNC offers is the ability to take photos and videos and store them within the app without saving them to your camera roll. This is a great way to censor your photos and videos to make sure they don’t end up in iCloud if you don’t want them there. Photo sharing can get out of hand thanks to Photo Stream, so a bit of control and privacy is definitely a nice feature.
DragNSYNC is available to download from the App Store for $2.99, which is an amazing price seeing as the app is so secure and useful. If you’ve ever wanted a handy way to store files on your iPad will keeping them organized and secure, DragNSYNC is definitely the way to go!
DragNSYNC is compatible with iPad. Requires iOS 5.0 or later.
