weekflow: Written iPhone App Review
Weekflow is an app for the iPhone and iPod Touch from allthirds. The point of weekflow is to help you organize your calendars, appointments, and events in one easy to use format. The real power behind weekflow comes from it’s gestures. Weekflow has intuitive gestures incorporated that not only make it easier to use, but more fun to use as well. The application also comes with a clean interface that is geared to be functional and get things done. I’ll go into this more below below, but the important thing is that weekflow has the potential to make you more efficient and effective during the day.
Weekflow has some really useful features that make it a great app to have. Some of the top features are a unique ‘weekflow’ view with an infinite stream of weeks, a ‘week peek’ overview, three different color modes, natural language input and the first calendar app to offer the possibility to create events with unclear dates. These features combine to give you an excellent and functional iPhone application. I really like the week peek overview, which gives you a brief glance at your next week. It can save a few seconds each time you check your calendar, but it really adds up. Another feature is that the app is in English and German. So if you speak a bit of German, or want to challenge yourself with a new language, give the German option a shot!
The design of weekflow is actually pretty good. I imagined a drab looking user interface, but instead, I discovered weekflow is actually really cool. While the gestures could be both a feature and a design element, I choose to put it in the design part of the review because it makes up the design. Everything in the app is designed to work with gestures. With weekflow, tapping is a thing of the past. Gestures seem to dominate the interface, and that is what makes weekflow unique. The overall interface of weekflow is clean, crisp, and functional, and I would highly recommend checking out the app.
Overall the application has great use of gestures, a variety of useful functions, and an excellent design. It’s an all around app that can be a great way to plan your events and better organize yourself. Right now the app is 50% off, so it would be a great time to check it out on the store. In total, it seems like a great app, and I would definitely take a look at it.
