Palm Reading Premium: Written iPhone App Review
Today’s review centers around a product of notable interest to a very specific group of people. To summarize, if you’re the sort of person who really goes in for horoscopes, fortune tellers, or even just superstitions (I mean, there are ladders all over the place!) then you’ll get a lot out of Palm Reading Premium from CrazySoft Limited. The app, which is available as both an iPhone app and an iPad app, is one of the most comprehensive ways we have ever seen to have your palm read without going to a dark alley with a dimly lit neon sign. In fact, it’s about the cheapest reading you’re likely to get, and with the right frame of mind, it can be informative indeed. For our full review, you need only to slide on down below the break!
Concept and Functionality
If you haven’t gathered it already, Palm Reading Premium is an app that is designed to read your palm, only from the convenience of your favorite arm chair. How does the title do this? Well, in essence it presents you with a number of different quizzes about your hand lines, finger shapes, thumb angles, etc. You go step by step, filling-in information for your love lines, heart lines, and so forth until you’ve completed the entire survey. At the end of this, the app produces a summary of your personality, future, or habits that is intended to shed light on your inner self.
How does it work? Honestly, it works pretty well! The app is unbelievably thorough in what it asks about your “setup,” and though there’s no visual proof that this affects your end results much, it certainly makes us feel better. The predictions varied widely depending on the person quizzed, which is reassuring as well. And of course, the actual value you obtain from these bits depends on your personality and frame of mind. Otherwise, the app is detailed and straightforward, offering exactly what it claims to.
Design and Interface
In fact, our only real complaint with the application comes in the form of its design. The application simply isn’t the prettiest thing we’ve ever seen. Though, then again it isn’t the worst. In essence, there are small spacing issues we didn’t favor, as well as some loose lines on some of the illustration and menu design that didn’t appeal to our picky aesthetics. Still, though, we did appreciate the detail of the diagrams themselves, as they make picking out your lines and configurations incredibly easy. It’s also bloody simple to fill-in each quiz.
Overall Value [Rating3.5:/5]
As stated, the amount of value that you get out of Palm Reading Premium largely depends on your persuasion as far as palm readings go. If you’re only vaguely interested, the application’s three dollar price tag might seem a bit high (although there is also a free version). Then again, if you’re heavy into the practice of the art, then three dollars is just about the cheapest reading you’ll get absolutely anywhere. Still, the price is slightly higher than we might like, though the app is absolutely recommended.
Palm Reading Premium requires iOS 4.3 or later and is compatible with iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch. This app is optimized for iPhone 5. A small expedite fee was paid to speed up the publication of this review.
