BN Dating: Written iPhone App Review
Now, we’re about to talk about a sensitive topic on the iPhone, but a very vital one: We feel obligated to warn you that we’re about to talk about “quick” dating as an adjunct of the iOS world. In other words, there’s a time and a place where you’d like to meet people in your area who are just looking for a little bit of romance. With that in mind, BN Dating is a new dating app with just that need in mind. If you’re interest has been piqued, and you’d like our full review, you’ll find it tucked away below!
Concept and Functionality
If you’ve never used a dating app similar to BN Dating before, allow us to be the first to introduce you to the concept. Essentially, you’ll be using the app to locate people in your area (or around the world, if you would like to partake in global chat) who are looking for a bit of love. You’ll be presented with available persons through a basic search. From here, you can send them a direct message, or you can chat locally or globally with the other BN Dating users. You can also favorite those individuals who you find . . . well, pleasant. From here, it’s entirely up to you what you do!
That’s the beauty of these kinds of apps, and overall, the functionality of BN Dating is spot on. We had no trouble finding those in our area, which is somewhat surprising. This is not a major player dating application, which one would think might offer fewer people. That being said, there are plenty of options—so to speak—and if you’re looking for a little good conversation, you’ll find it in droves.
Graphics and Design
In terms of raw interface, we have to admit that BN Dating is pretty solid. It’s a more traditional layout, offering tabbed navigational controls, for both the inbox and larger whole. We enjoyed the notifications ribbon at the top, as did we the very iMessage inspired chat interface. As stated before, we also found it incredibly easy to search for those in our area. With all of that in mind, BN Dating is still a fairly standard iPhone dating option. It won’t blow your mind, but it will get the job done. And at the end of the day, that’s really all you can ask for!
Here’s where things get sticky: BN Dating will cost quite a bit to keep around. You’ll need to purchase a subscription, which will cost at least $54.99 for a quarter year, or as much as $15 for a week. That’s very steep, especially considering there are other alternatives on the market that are cheaper—or even free. That being said, the app is a decent way to go, and will likely land you results.
BN Dating requires iOS 3.2 or later and is compatible with iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch. A small expedite fee was paid to speed up the publication of this review.
