AppZapp: Written & Video iPhone App Review
Are you deadly serious when it comes to your iPhone applications? Do you spend days upon days looking through comments, leaving ratings, looking for deals, and generally doing everything you can to stay on top of what’s popular and hip within the iPhone realm? If so, then boy have we got a recommendation for you! It’s called AppZapp by developer ConIT, and it comes with just about everything you need to turn pro with your app hunting. If you’ve not used the app before, and want some more justification, then slide on down below to our full review beyond the break!
Concept and Functionality
If we had to break AppZapp down into a single sentence, we’d probably phrase it just like this: AppZapp allows you to view other apps on sale, discuss the ones you like, and generally tear the App Store a new one. And that’s not far off, to be honest. With AppZapp you can get an instant look at apps that have recently changed in price, ones that are now free, as well which titles are currently trending or popular. Want to discuss the merits of cheap games with others? Go ahead and signup for an AppZapp account, then chat away to your heart’s desire! You can create a profile to detail all of your favorite applications, as well as meet others who share your interests.
The app will also let you know when apps go on sale, some bit of interesting news happens, or any other crucial event takes place. With push notifications, you can rest assured that apps you’re interested in will never slip you by, too. All in all, we can hardly think of a better—or sturdier—way to be in tune with your app needs.
Design and Interface
Oh, and did we mention that AppZapp happens to look fantastic, as well? If not, then we’re officially going on record as doing so now. The app is a solid one, offering stacked nav buttons that are easy on the eyes, as well as a wealth of App Store style lists designed for ease of use. All in all, it’s a great layout, and the slip-and-slide ease lends itself readily to quickly flicking through news updates, recent sales, and price drops galore.
We might also point out that AppZapp is completely free in the App Store: Yes, you heard us right! The app won’t cost you a cent to tryout, and if you like what you see, you can remove advertisements or upgrade to the premium version for only a dollar a piece. That means, at the most, you can spend two bucks to flesh out your AppZapp experience. For those not so inclined, all the glorious lists and information available here can be had for nothing on the down payment. That to us makes AppZapp an easy recommendation, especially to dedicated app-ers.
AppZapp requires iOS 4.3 or later and is compatible with iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch. A small expedite fee was paid by the developer to speed up the publication of this review.
