Easilydo: Life Assistant: Written & Video iPhone App Review
Throughout the years, we have tried more than our fair share of productivity applications. In fact, we like to think we’ve had just about a comprehensive sampler of the genre. That being said, we have yet to see something quite like Easilydo Life Assistant. The app truly does attempt to be your all-in-one resource for saving face and getting things done. And for the most part, we can’t complain with the results! To read more about this productivity enhancing application, go ahead and peep below the break for our full review!
Concept and Functionality
To begin with, we have to talk a bit about the Easilydo concept, as it’s not quite like any other productivity idea you might have heard before. Essentially, the app shirks the traditional todo lists and management suites, and instead reaches for your existing networks. It attaches itself to your eMail, to your Facebook, and to your Twitter—as well as your calendar, and a few other locations. From there, it immediately begins to find things it can help you with.
For instance, the app will let you know if you have the chance to merge any of your existing contacts. It will automatically create and manage any meeting alerts that need to be created, purely off the information from your eMail and calendar. These invites will appear just as you should be leaving, and will even provide directions and additional information. In a similarly cool surprise, the app will help you with birthdays by offering on the spot to purchase a gift card and send it to the recipient. We liked this quite a bit, and though it may feel odd at first, telling the app to just “Do It” is really quite an hefty time saver.
Design and Interface
Now, obviously an app with this sort of concept is going to rely fairly heavily on its own design. After all, if it can’t adequately find and use the data it needs, then what good is the app’s concept? Thankfully, though, the whole thing tends to fly without an hitch. It found birthdays, meetings, email contacts, and a few other elements without any problems at all. Honest, we can’t find as ingle thing to complain about in terms of its gorgeous design, either. However, it is worth mentioning that some people may not like the fluidity of the app. There’s less control on your end, unless you stick your fingers in a bit deeper. For some, the convenience is king, while for others it may not be the best fit.
Still, at the end of the day it’s incredibly hard to argue with an app that’s completely free to use! So no matter what you might think about Easilydo now, we encourage you to download it and give it a go. If it’s your cup of tea, you’ll quickly find you save a whole lot of time with the app. And if it doesn’t quite fit your bill, then you’ll not have spent a pence to try it.
Easilydo Life Assistant requires iOS 5.1 or later and is compatible with iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch. A small expedite fee was paid to speed up the publication of this review, as well as a video production fee.
