Are you really into collecting watches? Are you looking for something that offers all the information you could possibly want on different kinds of watches? Then the Watch The Story app from developer is the perfect game app for you! It is compatible with iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad, and runs on iOS 4.0 or later.

Watch the Story needs to have internet connection in order to be viewed. Upon downloading the app, it will appear in your “Newsstand” section on your device. When you load the app, you will be presented with the option of purchasing the particular magazine issue available, previewing it, or downloading the preview of it. When you select the “Preview” option, you will then be directed to the sub page indicating a brief description of what the particular issue is about paired along with a handful of images of pages from the issue. You are also offered the option of either purchasing the particular magazine issue, or subscribing to the complete series.

Overall, the appearance of Watch The Story is relatively decent. It is nice that you can preview some of the magazines before purchasing them. The preview images appear on the bottom of your device screen and you can scroll through them by swiping right to left. App options and images are set against a grayscale backdrop, making the magazine presentation stand out and appear more appealing. The graphics of the magazine spreads are crystal clear, and offer the reader much detail about the particular product they are reading about. App navigation and layout are easy to figure out and simple to handle for any user.

Since Watch The Story is offered for free, it seems like a pretty decent deal. However, with the in app issue purchases and possible subscriptions, this app is actually not to be considered a “free deal”. However, for watch connoisseurs and aficionados, this app would be like a dream come true for them since the issues are chock full of detail and information on all things watches related. Yet, since the subject manner is very centralized and limited, it is possible that people may be initially intrigued when they see the app and actually download it, but might be put out later by the issue and subscription costs, especially if they do not consider themselves a true watches fan.

Watch The Story iPhone app requires iOS 4.0 or later and is compatible with iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad. A small expedite fee was paid by the developer to speed up the publication of this review. The iPhone app reviews rating: [Rating: 4/5]
