Here at the iPhone App Review, we are constantly going on about the potential of the iPhone and iOS in general to improve your daily productivity and life quality. However, there’s one area we don’t tend to stray too far into: Your love life. That being said, today we’re taking one huge leap into the thick of things with B Book, a brilliant application for the managing of your sex life—from the tiniest detail to the broadest stroke. If that sounds like a good day out, then go ahead and peep our full review below.

Concept and Functionality

The basic idea behind B Book looks something like this: We all know how difficult it can be to manage your dating life when you’re out on the scene, constantly meeting new people. How on Earth are you supposed to manage all those faces, all those numbers and all those dates? How do you even remember when you last saw that person, or if you’re attempting to contact them too soon?

Enter B Book. The app serves as a compendium of everyone you’ve met, hooked up with, or hope to be intimate with soon. It allows you to store people into two categories: Prospects and Bedmates. These listings are immediately time tracked. In essence, if one of your prospects is in the “red zone” it means you aught to contact them before time runs out. The same goes for your other category of listings. To summarize, B Book makes it incredibly efficient and simplistic to keep tabs on all of those romantic connections that wander in and out of your life, while also ensuring you stay well out the way of social taboos. It’s the sort of utility you didn’t know you needed until you—in fact—needed it.

In fact, our only real complaints with the app come in the form of its design and interface. We appreciated the simplicity of adding new people to our listings, and the sorting by “danger zone” rating is a quick way to stay on-top of the situation. That being said, we weren’t fans of the aesthetics, including the harsh, gaudy colors. This is a quick fix, however. In addition, we also appreciated the fact that the app is just as female friendly as it is male friendly. It’s an important distinction, and one that we liked quite a bit.

Overall Value

And at the end of the day, it’s rather hard to fault an app that costs nothing to use. B Book is a completely free application in the App Store, which means you can start organizing your personal life in no time, and with hardly any effort. And for that, we’d be willing to pay quite a bit more. All in all, B Book is still an easy recommendation for those in need.

B BookB Book requires iOS 4.0 or later and is compatible with iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch. A small expedite fee was paid by the developer to speed up the publication of this review.
