Are you the first person to run to the karaoke machine at a party? Do you love showing off your vocal talent and musical knowledge? If so, Sing Me Something might just be your next favorite game. Developed by IT Enterprise Ltd, Sing Me Something is like SongPop for singers.

Concept and Gameplay: [Rating: 4/5]

The goal of the game is to sing a short clip (20 seconds maximum) of the selected song and send it to your opponent. If the opponent guesses the song correctly, you earn coins and a feather in your singing cap.

Sing Me Something is simple, yet amazingly fun. The very bright color scheme and lively interface adds to the game’s appeal. It’s very easy to create games with either random opponents or friends.

One of the best features of this game is the ability to connect with friends numerous ways. It’s incredibly easy to track down friends who also play Sing Me Something; simply enter their user name, Facebook, or e-mail address. Like other turn-based games, Sing Me Something uses push notifications to alert you when it’s time to take your turn. This is an excellent feature for people who have a tendency to forget (like me).

I really like how both song lyrics and an audio sample are included on the main game screen. This really evens out the playing field and eliminates the “I don’t know this song” excuse. Plus, Sing Me Something allows you to connect the game with Facebook. Now you can beat the musical pants off of your friends using your ears AND your voice.

Another great Sing Me Something feature is the shop. Coins earned through competing can be used to purchase items such as song hints, golden passes, and bombs. These help to improve your chances of correctly guessing songs or, in the case of the golden pass, automatically guess the answer for you.

Value: [Rating: 4.5/5]

While Sing Me Something a sure to be a hit with folks who aren’t strangers to shower time serenades, those of us who are vocally shy will likely stay away from this game.  There is also a $1.99 paid version of the game which disables ads and gives you 3000 coins.

Sing Me Something is compatible with iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPhone 4S, iPod touch (3rd generation), iPod touch (4th generation) and iPad. Requires iOS 5.1 or later.
