QUENTIQ Tracker: Written and Video iPhone App Review
Are you one of the million and two horde members who trudge past our door at six in the morning wearing spandex? Do you love nothing more than to propel yourself up precarious precipices in order to get fit? If so, then boy do we have the perfect way to liven up your day. The app in question is called QUENTIQ Tracker and it’s by developer QUENTIQ. The app makes it incredibly easy to track your workouts, receive health input on them, and even share your results with friends. And for our full review, you need only to slide on down below the break!
Concept and Functionality
The idea behind QUENTIQ Tracker is so simple that it’s even been tucked right into the name. You see, the app uses the GPS functionality within your iPhone to track your movements, producing accurate data about your average speed, distance travelled, and even calories burned. How does it manage this last one? Through the clever use of QUENTIQ Tracker-specific algorithms based around your activity of choice. When starting a new workout, you simply tell the app what it is that you’re doing, and it will then adjust accordingly.
Now, at this point you probably think the app has a few basic activities like running, jogging, walking and swimming. Which it does. However, it also covers every other base in existence, including alpine skiing, rock climbing, mountain biking, and possibly even fencing. It’s unbelievable, and completely welcome. Best of all, when you have a few workouts under your belt, QUENTIQ Tracker will produce a QUENTIQ Health Number for your review. This is simply a numerical value to attach to your own wellbeing, giving you an accurate way to judge exactly how healthy you may or may not be based on your workout schedule.
Graphics and Design
Did we mention that the app is also gorgeous and extremely user intuitive? Well, it just so happens to be so. It’s obvious that the designers have thought quite a bit about the looks of the app, and the end result is a perfect cross between user interface and Olympics-grade score cards. Furthermore, the interface itself is usually a one-click affair, and typically takes very little effort to manage. All in all, this means QUENTIQ Tracker is beautifully basic and perfectly fit for getting you fit.
And lastly, the app is completely free. Yes, you heard us correctly. The app is one-hundred per-cent free in the App Store, making it a tremendous value for just about anyone who even casually works out. If you’re interested to see how many calories you burn, how fast you go, or just how far you travel during a workout, this free utility has everything you need. For those with more specific sports needs, QUENTIQ Tracker will also take care of you. All in all, QUENTIQ Tracker is an easy recommendation.
QUENTIQ Tracker requires iOS 4.3 or later and is compatible with iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch. A small expedite fee was paid by the developer to speed up the publication of this review.
