Super Note: iPhone Written App Review
Look! Up in the sky! It’s a bird! It’s a plane! No! It’s Super Note! The awesome new app from Heavy Duty Apps that as useful as it is elegantly executed. And that’s one sweet super power, if you ask me.
You’ve seen boring note taking apps before, I gather. You get a blank space to enter thoughts. That’s it, right? Not with Super Note. The Super Note iPhone app allows you to color code notes with four easily altered note types. It also makes recording audio a snap. Seriously, it’s just a single touch on the screen. That’s actually easier than snapping, if you think about it.
The result? Pure organizational magic. The Super Note app helps you keep tabs on all your notes, memos, lecture recordings, or anything else you feel the need to keep in this notebook style app. It also allows you to transfer notes and recordings to other people via email, by downloading the file to your iOS device, or share via WiFi, and lets you set up push notification reminders. How’s that for smart?
There are a few features that would help this app be even better. I think it should allow you to create more than four labels. I’d also like to see a multimedia upload option. You can save audio recordings, why not add videos, pictures or other audio files, too? Those are some seriously nit-picky wishes. Take my word for it: this app is so super sweet it deserves a cape.
Layout & Design:
Why a cape? In part because of the Super Note app’s sleek, no-nonsense layout. Super Note is a universal app, and it looks amazing on the iPad, while maintaining full functionality on the iPhone as well. It’s nice to see an app that works equally well on both devices. And the sleek color-coding in standout colors really makes this app pop.
How to improve on it? Well, I’d love it of the iPhone version let you work in landscape and portrait mode, instead of sticking you in portrait mode. Otherwise, I’m a huge fan of the Super Note iPhone app’s look and feel.
Can you really put a price or organization? Well, you can. Thankfully it’s pretty sweet, too. The universal note taking, recording and reminder powerhouse Super Note can be yours for $1.99. That’s a seriously super deal, folks. So the bottom line is this – go get this app. If you sit through lectures, it’ll be your new best friends. If you love writing on your iOS device and need a way to make doing so easier, and just plain cooler, then this is your dream app. Go get it, iPhone app enthusiasts. You’ll be so glad you did.
Super Note iPhone app requires iOS 5.0 or later and is compatible with iPhone, iPod touch and iPad. A small expedite fee was paid by the developer to speed up the publication of this review.
