Interested in hot springs and ski resorts in Colorado? Want access to information on popular and even not so well-know locations of ski resort and hot springs in the state? Then the Ski Colorado Hot Springs app from developer Your World Developers is just the right app for you! It is compatible with iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad, and runs on iOS 4.3 or later.


When the user first loads Ski Colorado Hot Springs, they will be lead to the “Hot Springs” page which is also one of the main four tabs located on the bottom of the app screen. The other main tabs include: “Ski Resorts”, “Map”, and “About”. The “Hot Springs” section is divided into regions, such as Northwest, Central, Southeast, and Southwest. Under each region, the user can select a specific destination and gain access to information such as location images, address, phone contact, pricing, access, water temperature, directions, location website, and even a brief description and comments on the place. There is also information about ski resorts that located close to that specific hot springs.

The “Ski Resorts” tab is also separated into region categories and provides relatively the same type of information as the hot springs with some varying degree such as number of trails, number and type of lifts, and average snowfall. It also provides additional information on hot springs located within the vicinity of the particular ski resort.

When accessing the “Map” tab, the app will request the user to allow the app to use their current location. A map will pop up indicating the site pinpoints, with the green colored pinpoints indicating particular hot springs locations, and purple pinpoints indicating particular ski resort locations.

The “About” tab offers some additional insight to the user about the developers.

Overall, the appearance of Ski Colorado Hot Springs is really well done. Location images are clear and appealing, and app font is relatively easy to read. Since there are only four main tabs with self-explanatory headers and locations are nicely separated into specific region categories, the user should have no problem figuring out the app’s function and app navigation should be a breeze.


Overall, the value of the Ski Colorado Hot Springs app is average. Not many people would be clamoring to pay $3.99 for an app and it only gears to a specific audience like those who live in the state of Colorado or those who are interested in traveling there. However, it does provide a wealth of unique and beneficial information to those who are interested, so the target audience may find the app well worth the price.
