YOGA Free: iPhone App Written Review
Do you like yoga? Do you wish there was a quick and convenient way to learn some, do some, and generally have fun with the field from your iPhone? If so, then you’re in luck: YOGA Free by developer Arawella Corp is perhaps one of the single best yoga apps that we have ever seen for iOS. It’s got a lot to offer, and at a price tag that won’t have you cringing. So if your curiosity has been piqued, head on down below the break to view our whole review of this killer exercise application for the iPhone. Starting with:
Concept and Functionality
As you might have guessed by the subject at hand, YOGA Free’s main intent in life is to bring you a list of all the most popular and most essential yoga poses. The app does this through a variety of means, not least of which is its simple list. By simply clicking the Pose Base button, the user is free to browse more than 250 unique images with text explanations, showing you how to achieve just about every important pose in the book. Okay, so maybe not every pose—there are literally hundreds of thousands of poses to work with. But still, for the app being free on the front-end, you’re going to get a lot of material out of it.
On another note, you’ll also be able to do preset routines, thanks to the My Programs button. You can buy additional packs, though the app does come with a few. On top of all that, you’ll also get an in-app calendar to help you track your practice sessions and classes. All in all, YOGA Free is a solid offering for those in need.
Design and Interface
We have to admit, though it’s a bit too feminine for the male yoga enthusiast, YOGA Free is easily one of the best looking yoga-focused apps we’ve seen in a while. It’s got very few buttons, and shies away from the tabbed navigation cliche, which we’re quite thankful for. On top of that, the app is simply snappy to use. We had no problems loading up our poses or routines to play around with, and we think the app would be a perfect compliment for your yoga matt at the next class.
Best of all, the app is completely free in the App Store. It’s hard to argue with a bargain like that, especially if your a fan of the sport. If you’ve been looking for a new app to meet your yoga needs, but haven’t been sure where to go, then step right up. YOGA Free is extremely cheap, full of potential, and offers more than enough additional features to make it the recommended yoga app for our readers.
YOGA Free requires iOS 3.0 or later and is compatible with iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch. A small expedite fee was paid by the developer to speed up the publication of this review.
