NumberOne: Written iPhone App Review
Neotko Studios SL has released a spiffy app for the iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch, called NumberOne. NumberOne is an addicting, fun-filled matching game that stimulates your thinking and helps give you a sense of accomplishment. NumberOne is a great app that is fast-paced and exciting!
NumberOne uses the Stroop Effect to stimulate the user’s brain and make the task of matching numbers more difficult. The user must match the correct numbers without being distracted by the different colors that the number are in, by the random tilts, or by the buzzing vibrations. If the user messes up and fails to match the correct number, the allotted time per matching the number pairs is reduced. However, when the user correctly matches the number tiles, more time is added to the game, which gives the user a bit of a buffer zone if they make any mistakes. A great feature that is included is the ability for the user to upload their high scores onto Facebook or Twitter to compare with their friends and earn bragging rights about who’s brain is faster at processing and matching numbers. Overall, NumberOne is great for all ages and it definitely helps give your brain a workout!
Appearance and Layout:
The appearance and layout of NumberOne is fantastic. The app has a decent solid feel to it, giving evidence that the developers definitely put a lot of time into making the game. The number tiles have a soft color hue that makes them appear pleasantly to the eyes. The app’s colorful background also has a great soft, yet solid look. The number tiles are easy to tap, even if the user has large fingers. The bottom left of the screen has a pause button that isn’t too hidden, nor is it too vivid. The bottom right of the screen has the music icon that the user can tap if they want to mute the sound. Overall, NumberOne has a great appearance and layout.
NumberOne is available on the iTunes app store for $0.99, which is less than the amount it takes to work 10 minutes at minimum wage in most states. Overall, it’s a decent price to pay for a great app that will help you think and give your brain a workout.
NumberOne iPhone app requires iOS 5.0 or or later and is compatible with iPhone, iPod Touch, and iPad. A small expedite fee was paid by the developer to speed up the publication of this review. The iPhone app reviews rating:
