EyeCrazy: Written iPhone App Review

Reviewed by Philip Chan

Developer Bangedup Apps Co. has released a rather enthusing and amusing app for the iOS 5.1. It’s called EyeCrazy and is available for only $0.99 through the iTunes store. EyeCrazy is a great app that can be used to make a photo of your friend, worst enemy, ex-girlfriend, or anyone you know look like an utter goofball! Remember all of those cheesy photos your friends took of you to blackmail you with later in life? Well, now you can get back at them with EyeCrazy!

Features:

EyeCrazy is a decently simple app that can be used to make a simple change in the appearance of anyone’s picture by altering the subject’s eye gaze. It causes the subject’s eyes to look up, down, sideways, cross-eyed, and can even give them a droopy eyelid! EyeCrazy delivers tons of fun and enjoyment to someone looking to get even with their coworker for posting that stupid picture of them on Facebook. EyeCrazy allows the user to take a photo with their iPhone/iPad camera, or even upload their own photo, and edit it to give their designated target a droopy eyelid or a goofy gaze.

Appearance and Layout:

The wooden frame themed layout for EyeCrazy is rather unique in that it isn’t too cluttered with icons, though still retaining the sense of control that every user enjoys. It looks very much so like a wooden picture frame, just with several buttons along the bottom row to edit the photo with. The buttons and icons are pretty self-explanatory and simple to use. After editing the photo, the user can choose to email their photo, upload it to Facebook, or post it on Twitter. Overall, the appearance and layout of EyeCrazy is great because it sticks to a simple frame-like layout with easy-to-use buttons.

Value:

EyeCrazy is offered on the iTunes store for only $0.99, which is a great deal for such a simple, yet powerful (in that the user has power over their photo) app! Although there are many apps that can be used to alter a person’s picture, there are very, very few that offer the select option of editing the subject’s eye gaze. $0.99 is a small price to pay for what could be a useful app, especially when the user needs to quickly edit a profile picture.
EyeCrazy iPhone app requires iOS 5.1 or later and is compatible with iPhone (3GS, 4, 4S), iPod Touch (3rd and 4th generation), and iPad. A small expedite fee was paid by the developer to speed up the publication of this review. The iPhone app reviews rating:
