TeaTime+ Pro: iPhone Video and Written App Review
Making the most of your Facebook and Twitter feeds is easy with the new TeaTime+ Pro iPhone app from AnVision. This app is chock-full of extras, making it easier to keep tabs on multiple accounts from a central location. Let’s see if this pro powerhouse has what it takes to be a top app.
The TeaTime+ Pro iPhone app supports a single Facebook profile and multiple Twitter accounts. It organizes your streams, photo albums, mentions, messages and more in an easy to access series screens. Utilizing some nifty gestures (more about that after the cut) you’ll find it easy to see the latest news, comment, like, star, tag, retweet, check-in, update statuses and share your favorite finds via email.
The app also supports some cool extras, such as batch photo uploads to Facebook, and it offers custom organization with more than 40 group icon options. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a smarter mobile grouping feature. It was truly innovative and quite easy to utilize.
Making use of the latest iOS technology, TeaTime+ Pro allows you to sync your progress across multiple devices thanks to iCloud. It even lets you save links via popular programs such as Evernote and Read It Later. A simple drag down gesture will put you face to face with an easy search feature that makes finding content simple. I did find myself wishing the app shortened particularly long posts for easier navigation, but that was a small concern.
Layout & Design:
While the TeaTime+ Pro iPhone app is an organizational powerhouse, it’s also packing a few design extras I think you’ll really like. There are two distinct themes in the app (to be honest, I found myself wishing for more, since this is a paid app), and, as I mentioned, navigating is made easier by a set of three simple gestures that let you access different streams, albums and more with a simple swipe of your finger.
Despite my concern about long messages being displayed in full, I did enjoy my time navigating TeaTime+ Pro, and found the app easy to use and simple to understand, with tons of features organized quite well. If it had a universal version that looked better on my iPad, it might earn a higher overall design score from me.
The bottom line is this: if I’m going to be paying for a social networking app, I expect a lot. While TeaTime+ Pro is really cool, I found myself wanting more. More themes. More social network integration options. What about a dedicated option to switch to business pages linked to a main account? Or an in-app browser for easier link viewing?
TeaTime+ Pro also has a FREE version located here.
TeaTime+ Pro is well made, and shows a lot of potential. I’m definitely going to keep this one on my iOS devices to see what’s next. In the meantime, if you need a single app to keep you on top of your Twitter feeds and single Facebook profile, check this title out for sure.
TeaTime+ Pro iPhone app requires iOS 4.0 or later and is compatible with iPhone, iPod touch and iPad. A small expedite fee was paid by the developer to speed up the publication of this review.
