Property Log Book: iPhone Written and Video App Review
The new Property Log Book iPhone app from IAPPLAB SOLUTIONS is a tidy collector of important data, figures, income and expenses that lets property owners, builders and property investors keep track of their ins and outs in one central location. This simple, yet extremely effective title will take the guess work out of bills and balances, and be your best friend come tax season. Read on to find out if this app is the one you’ve been waiting for.
The Property Log Book iPhone app is designed to allow users to track bills, payments, mortgages and more. It’s ideal for people who own multiple properties, run rentals, manage building projects, or even us simple folks who own a home. Seeing your current total due or net worth is a touch away with this savvy app.
As for what you can track, the sky’s really the limit. Property Log Book is equipped with tons of customizable features. To get started you enter your property details. The app even allows you to enter agent info if you pay commissions for property management. Once your info is entered, Property Log Book allows you to set up sophisticated reminders. I found those particularly handy, and doubt I’ll ever make a late payment or miss a water bill again now that there’s a single app that will remind me monthly about what is due and when it’s due.
But my favorite set of features in the Property Log Book have to be the export and share options. With this app, you can export records directly, email them where you’d like, and it’s all as easy as pie. Seeing where you are with a specific property’s a snap. The possibilities are nearly endless, and I did find the app a bit unwieldy. If anything, it offers too many customization options and features. I wish it had a more extensive in-app help section.
Layout & Design:
Property Log Book is organized into three simple tabs: home, dashboard and settings. The Home tab is your fast-track to equity reports, reminders and an income vs. expenses interface. The Dashboard tab allows you to access your portfolio summary, and view individual property details. Settings is where the magic happens, and where your personal profile details help create a customized app like no other.
I’m also horribly fond of the app’s bright graphs. There is an interior link to an external help page if you need it.
For property owners, I doubt I’ve ever seen an app as handy as Property Log Book. It simplifies record keeping to an art form, and makes keeping tabs clear and easy. The app does cost $1.99, but that’s a small price to pay for enhanced organization and portfolio management with tons of custom options. Property Log Book gets my stamp of approval. By the way there is also a FREE version located here.
Property Log Book iPhone app requires iOS 4.0 or later and is compatible with iPhone, iPod touch and iPad. A small expedite fee was paid by the developer to speed up the publication of this review.
