Do you like the idea of building an empire that would be considered the greatest and eventually take control over the entire world? Then The Nuclear War from developer iPanda Lab is the perfect game app for you! It is compatible with iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad, and runs on iOS 4.3 or later.

Gameplay:

The basic premise of The Nuclear War is for the player to build a country that is not only powerful but able to withstand battles and complete missions. The player’s main goal is to make themselves the most powerful leader worldwide. They can garner resources such as uranium to construct destruction weapons and engage in virtual nuclear wars with other countries and gain various rewards. Since it is a multiplayer style game, the player will need to have constant access to internet in order to play and they can ally with other players to make their empire even stronger and battle with even greater strength. Players can build up their country’s population to gain more tax benefits, and expand their territory by increasing their total income and weapon resources.

As stated previously, this is an online game. It may be considered a hassle to users who do not have consistent access to the internet, since without it they cannot take part of the game.

Appearance and Layout:

The overall appearance of The Nuclear War is very good. Menu functions are simplistic and sparse. Game graphics are a blend of realistic imagery and fantasy, but not over the top or cheesy, and is appealing to the player. Game and function navigation is easy to go around and figure out, and the game premise is relatively clear to understand. Sound effects are relevant and non-distracting to the game play.

Value:

The overall value of The Nuclear War is good. Since it is offered for free, it’s not such a bad deal. It is not a game that would appeal to everyone, but for its directed audience, it would provide much entertainment. The downside is that players need to have access to internet in order to play it, so if they are using a device that does not have a data plan, they will need to find WiFi spots that they can connect to in order to properly access the app which can be an inconvenience. Please note that this game app is also available in an iPad version and more information about it can be found here.

The Nuclear War iPhone app requires iOS 4.3 or later and is compatible with iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad. A small expedite fee was paid by the developer to speed up the publication of this review. The iPhone app reviews rating: [Rating: 4/5]
