Streamified: iPhone Written App Review
Tired of flipping between apps just to keep tabs on all your streams? Yeah, the folks at Streamified thought you might be. The new Streamified app combines all your streams, bookmarks, RSS feeds and more in a sleek package that compliments your content while giving you optimal access. Read on to find out if Streamified is the app you’ve been waiting for.
Facebook, Twitter, Thumblr, LinkedIn, Goog Reader, blogs, Pinterest and more. Yeah, you love them all, you also don’t have to spend a ton of time hopping between apps to check them any more. Streamified allows you to connect many of your own personal accounts with one handy app.
It’s not all you you you. Another thing the app does really well is plug you in to popular feeds. Not only can you browse the app’s very own stream options, you can also use the app to enable interactive bookmarking. Anything you tag for Streamified becomes part of your stream, and it’s right there for you to visit with ease.
On the down side, the app does not support access to several personal blog interfaces, and while it lets you browse Pinterest, you cannot connect your personal account to Streamified at this time. However, with all the current options, I’m sure some improvements are in this app’s near future. At least, I heartily hope so, because this app is really well made and works like a dream.
Layout & Design:
Rocking a homey brown on brown motif, Streamified puts your content at center stage. The app also supports wide viewing. I especially love it on the iPad, where it makes wonderful use of the wide screen. There’s even a full-screen viewing mode, and plenty of ways to share and save the content that you love right from the app.
Streamified keeps the controls minimal and non-invasive, tucked neatly to the side or top of the screen. I really love the way this app looks, and how it manages to have a ton of options without feeling fussy or overwrought.
With its unique customizable organization options, interactive bookmark feature and knack for putting your content in its best light, I think Streamified just earned a permanent place on my iOS devices. The fact that this content-organizing power house is absolutely free doesn’t hurt either.
But, seriously, if you’ve been looking for an app that will help you keep your streams in sync and easier to enjoy, Streamified is for you. Give it a shot. You’ll be glad you did.
Streamified iPhone app requires iOS 4.0 or later and is compatible with iPhone, iPod touch and iPad. A small expedite fee was paid by the developer to speed up the publication of this review.
