Once the user loads Bicycle Jacked Up they will realize that this is a different kind of card game. With an interactive twist on the traditional playing card games, this app combines the use of an actual deck of playing cards that when scanned with the device the app is on, the rules will differ upon every hand.  The user will need to purchase an actual deck of cards from the developer’s online store or actual retail stores that carry the item in order for the app to fully work. The user can choose specific decks that are used for Solitaire, Hearts, or War. The basic premise of the app is since rules will be constantly changing with every turn of the card, the games will be kept fresh, different, and constantly entertaining.

Bicycle Jacked Up App Review

The graphics of Bicycle Jacked Up are pretty well done and amusing. The app host “Jack” ( a twist on the Joker) provides subtle entertainment with his one-liners and silly wise crack jokes. Animation can be somewhat delayed at times, but not enough to be disappointing. App sound effects are decent and non-distracting. Navigation and layout is easy to figure out, once the user figures out that they need to actually purchase the deck of cards in order for the app to really work properly.

Although the actual Bicycle Jacked Up app is being offered for free, it essentially is not free. As stated earlier, in order for the app to properly work, the user needs to purchase the actual deck of cards whether for the Hearts, Solitaire, or War for $5.99 plus additional shipping costs of around $4.99. Generally, the main purpose of having a game app is for convenience and portability. To be asked to carry an additional item in order for an app to function may be considered an unnecessary hassle to many users.  To have to make an additional purchase for an actual item and also pay for shipping costs, will probably be enough to deter several users from continuing on using this app. Probably only die-hard fans will actually follow through with the actual card purchase or those who don’t mind spending an additional ten dollars on an app.
