TransitTimes+: Written iPhone App Review
Imagine being able to control your way through traffic by simply tapping some functions on your device. Or think if you could cut your travel time in half? TransitTimes+ from developer Zervas Enterprises can do all of these things for you and so much more. This app is compatible with iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPhone 4S, iPod touch (3rd generation), iPod touch (4th generation) and iPad, and it also requires iOS 5.0 or later.
The TransitTimes+ app is all about saving the user time and stress. When the app loads, the user will be prompted to access the “Manage Databases” function when the select the “Settings” icon on the lower left hand corner. From there they need to download the city and country they want to work with. Once the selection has download, the user no longer needs to access the WiFi to use the app since all transit schedules are already stored onto their device. Afterwards, the user can select which distance units they want to go by such as kilometers and meters, or miles and yards. After they select the “done” button, they can select the plus sign function on the bottom right hand corner of their screen. From there they can create a “new trip”, a “new stop”, or a “new folder”. If they choose to select a “new trip”, they can choose from rail, subway, or buses, each categorized by line or by suburb/town. The same goes for “new stop”, except the category “street/route” is also made available in addition to rail, subway, or buses. These functions allow the user to view the next stop, or place they are headed to. The great plus is, the user is not just limited to downloading a single city and country preference. If they travel a lot, they can add up to 40 cities total without any additional charge.
Appearance and Layout:
The overall appearance of TransitTimes+ is classic and right on key. It’s simple, easy to use, and easy to navigate through. There is no explanation needed, and pretty much once the user has finished downloading their city and country preference, they are good to go. The background graphics are complementary to the device’s on settings menu and will appeal to its user for its straightforwardness.
TransitTimes+ being for $2.99 is a steal. It’s a timesaver and a stress reducer all in one. This is perfecta and beneficial for those who commute in metropolitan cities where traffic and congestions is the norm, and is suitable for those who like to travel. With everything so simple and neatly laid out for you, with this app, you won’t ever have to miss that next stop again or sit in traffic for more than you should.
TransitTimes+ iPhone app requires iOS 5.0 or later and is compatible with iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPhone 4S, iPod touch (3rd generation), iPod touch (4th generation) and iPad. A small expedite fee was paid by the developer to speed up the publication of this review. The iPhone app reviews rating:
