Feed Them All: Written iPhone App Review
Feed Them All, from Italian developer Adalta Apps, is a new cutsey animal game app. It’s available for the iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch, on devices running iOS 3.2 or later. So how does this popular (#1 Game app in Italy) app stack up? Read on!
On the Feed Them All planet, cutesy animals (referred to as puppies, but they include baby elephants, piglet, sheep and more) travel across the world on conveyer belts, taking in the wonderful sights and getting fed at the same time. Gamers take on the role of Freddy Feeder, tasked with keeping these hungry critters filled up with tasty treats. Here’s the basic premise: Gamers must quickly drag and drop various tasty food items to the different cartoon animals scrolling across the screen. Each species of animal will only eat a certain item and it’s up to the gamer to figure this out. To make things even more exciting, explosives, traps and other obstacles will need to be avoided while rushing to feed at least 75% of the animals on each level. There’s 35 levels in all, each timed at 60 seconds and bonus and penalty points available throughout. Try and feed ‘em multiple time as they scroll across the screen to further rack up combo points. Overall, it feels frantic and yet still fun. The scrolling animals are really quite cute and feeding them while racing against the clock is quite satisfying. Levels are well-designed and sufficiently challenging. It may get a little repetitive at times, but the developers have added in several tweaks to keep things varied and interesting.
Appearance and Layout:
Graphics on Feed Them All are outstanding! I was quite impressed with the cartoony, cutesy animals and the feeding animations. It’s quite cartoony and cheery, making it perfect for younger gamers. The overall layout is quite nicely done and allows for easy game play even on the first time. It’s all pretty self explanatory but the app does a good job of still introducing new users to it from the start. There’s also excellent online support via the game’s website, as well as great background information on the various animals you must feed.
It’s not free, but at $0.99 Feed Them All certainly won’t break the bank. The traveling animals theme also works quite well, even if it’s a little odd to see baby animals on conveyer belts. There’s sufficient online leader board support, further adding value to this app, via the popular Game Center. Also, the developers have taken steps to cover all the major social network profiles with info on Feed Them All, including Facebook, Google+ and PinInterest. Overall, Feed Them All is a solid cartoon game app with fast-paced, addicting game play and memorable characters.
Feed Them All iPhone app requires iOS 3.2 or later and is compatible with iPhone, iPod Touch, and iPad. Feed Them All sells for $0.99 through iTunes. A small expedite fee was paid by the developer to speed up the publication of this review. The iPhone app reviews rating: [Rating: 4/5]
