Imagine a game with a futuristic setting involving aliens and humans, and intricate space aircraft. The only drawback is the player is a captive of the alien race and they are now in the midst of a revolt for freedom. Endless War from developer Omnitel is this exciting game that takes alien warfare to a whole new level. This app is compatible with iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad, and it also requires iOS 4.3 or later.

The premise of Endless War is set in the year 2162. After mankind has been oppressed by aliens for 30 years, it is now time for mankind to rise up and take hold of their chance of freedom. The user first selects a new or existing profile and selects from 3 different types of futuristic space aircraft. They then choose from the following play levels: Easy, Normal, Hard, and Insane. They are granted with 10,000 coins (if they create a new profile) and you have the choice of upgrading your weapons or aircraft. They are then prompted with different stage settings and are shown what the reward is for conquering that stage level. The gameplay is simple and easy at first, but progressively gets more difficult as the user progresses. The user simply guides their aircraft with a back and forth motion of their fingertip on the bottom of the screen. They will want to aim their shots at the alien ships and at the same time take less hits from their raining bombs. Once they conquer and obtain there award they can advance to the next stage level.

Appearance and Layout:

They appearance and layout of  Endless War is pretty amazing. The graphics and imagery are very clear and crisp and engaging. The navigation and game control is relatively simple and easy to figure out, even for amateur gamers. You can access previous menu functions by simply selecting the “back” feature on the left bottom side of the screen, and advance forward with the “next” feature on the right hand corner of the screen. The animation is cool and well done and, best of all it doesn’t look cheesy or elementary.

Endless War is a great game for gamers and non-gamers alike. A great game to pass time, and is not one of those typical games that you would get bored of very fast since each scene will never be truly alike and the user can always switch up  and upgrade the space aircraft they are using, and also change the play difficulty level they are at. It is a truly enjoyable game and definitely worth the price.

Endless War iPhone app requires iOS 4.3 or later and is compatible with iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad.  A small expedite fee was paid by the developer to speed up the publication of this review. The iPhone app reviews rating:
