This app is compatible with iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPhone 4S, iPod touch (3rd generation), iPod touch (4th generation) and iPad and it requires iOS 4.0 or later.

WeHeartPics serves as a picture storage to assist in sharing your random and on the go photos with friends, family, and sometimes even complete strangers via social networks such as Facebook and Twitter. You can take photos and turn them into stories, whether it concerning something dear to your heart such as a family reunion or something more surface such as your latest shopping spree. You then can take these photo stories and share them on the worldwide web so others can take part in your life’s experiences in a unique way.

When you initially load WeHeartPics, you will be prompted with a request to link your app photos with your Facebook or Twitter account. You have the choice to decline, but it would somewhat defeat the purpose of having this app which is specifically used to share your photos via social networks. The overall appearance of this app is simplistic and easy on the eyes. There are preset categories for you to sort your pictures to, such as: “About Me”, “Family & Friends”, “Home”, “Work & Study”, “Places”, “City”, and “Daily Stories”. These categories can be found under the “Stories” tab, essentially where your pictures would be telling the story of your everyday life and can be shared virtually. The second category labeled “Popular” showcases various well-liked photos shared by other users.

The very fact that WeHeartPics is offered for free is a huge plus. Social networking is all the rage these days, and to be able to share your random pictures instantly and store them neatly categorized in your device for facilitating accessibility is another big benefit that this app offers. It’s simple layout and basic navigation caters to users of all ages and social backgrounds. This is also a great app for those who not only are interested in photography, but who also like showcasing their own work.
