Tap in to a hot list of free apps every day with the new FreeAppWall from TapGen. This purveyor of guilt-free booty make finding the latest free apps easy with a fun, Western themed layout and more of what we love – free stuff. So if you’re ready for the gift that keeps on giving, give our iPhone app review of FreeAppWall a whirl.
There’s no doubt about it: free is always better. Not only does FreeAppWall feature a few “Most Wanted” free apps with top reviews and the best price tag ever, they also keep an up-to-date list of free apps, most of which are just briefly on sale. These apps are organized in a simple wall, with titles, thumbnails and star ratings included, so it’s easy to see which apps are worth your while.
When you tap on a title you’ll be able to read the app description and swipe through some screenshots. There’s also an option to share an app (Merry Christmas to your friends!) or access the app via the App Store with two touches.
In other words, the FreeAppWall iPhone app is a convenient way to find, get and share the best free stuff out there, without searching endlessly through iTunes searching for a good price tag. What could be better than savings?
Layout & Design:
We really dig the decided Western theme of the FreeAppWall iPhone app. Not only is it cute, it makes what could be a boring list of apps much more fun to peruse. C’mon, calling apps “Most Wanted” and letting you collect them like a bounty hunter? That’s insanely cute.
The Western theme carries throughout the app, and it makes reading the app’s description and taking a peek at the screenshots fun, too. It’s also good that the app has a lot of visual interest, with the thumbnails and screenshots. These pull straight from iTunes, so you know you’re getting the same content just in an easier way.
FreeAppWall works as well as it looks. There’s also a handy daily notification so you won’t miss the latest deals that integrates with iOS 5 for easy notifications. You can, of course, customize all the notification settings for FreeAppWall in your iPhone’s settings menu, just in case you have a preference.
Fittingly, FreeAppWall is entirely free. And, other than the other apps you’re there to look at, there are no ads. We really like this top deal aggregator thanks to its fun theme and thorough coverage of the free app market. Sure, there are a few features we wish the app had (such as a search function) but at the end of the day you can’t beat free. Get this app if you’ve been looking for new apps to flesh out your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch.
FreeAppWall iPhone app requires iOS 4.0 or later and is compatible with iPhone, iPod touch and iPad. A small expedite fee was paid by the developer to speed up the publication of this review.
