BlinkMaster: iPhone Written App Review
Meet BlinkMaster, a game that’s one part game show two parts speed from App Chakra. In BlinkMaster you’ll have to trust your vision, as multiple clues flash briefly on the screen. Is it enough to help you guess the right answer, or will you have to budget your cash wisely to solve each visual riddle? Find out in our iPad app review of BlinkMaster.
As we mentioned, in BlinkMaster it’s your job to use the photo clues to guess the right answer. Think of it as a riddle you can see. If you can’t guess the answer after the quick flash of the hints, you can use your 1,500 point balance to unlock clues for longer looks. Put the clues together and guess the right answer, or see if you can trust your vision and guess right off the bat.
BlinkMaster supports single and multiplayer games and has thousands of visual clues for you to unlock and put your mind to. We love the bright images and smart test questions of this app. Playing is a lot of fun, especially with the added fun of multiplayer. We like well-appointed apps that turn gaming into a social affair, and BlinkMaster definitely delivers the fun.
We also love the fact that you can go back to a puzzle you got correct and review all the fun factoids in the clues. It’s like the game has fun hidden nuggets of knowledge just waiting to be found. Although, when we started playing the game we expected the written hints to come unlocked when we bought visual clues. Maybe the developers thought that would make BlinkMaster too easy. Either way, this app is still a lot of fun to play.
Layout & Design:
BlinkMaster is an iPad app, and it makes beautiful use of the large screen. Also it’s extremely easy to navigate the app. There’s even a handy tutorial just in case you aren’t sure how to proceed, although the tutorial is not very clearly written.
The beautiful photo hints really make this app pop. Every page is interesting and the clues are just gorgeous. It’s obvious the development team put some effort into finding clues that are both smart and lovely to help keep the game interesting.
The full, unlocked version of BlinkMaster costs $1.99. That’s much less then you’d spend on a board game or almost any other thing you can play with friends. There’s also a free lite version of BlinkMaster with a limited amount of clues, in case you aren’t sure this app is for you. Fair warning, you’re going to want the full app once you see how fun this game is. We heartily endorse BlinkMaster and its family friendly, advertisement-free fun.
BlinkMaster iPhone app requires iOS 3.2 or later and is compatible with iPhone, iPod touch and iPad. A small expedite fee was paid by the developer to speed up the publication of this review.
