Photo Slide Stream: iPad App Written Review
Sick of constantly having to move photos around due to storage constraints, multiple devices and a mish mosh of online storage services? Download the Photo Slide Stream app from AppFund UK, and say goodbye to wires and memory issues for good.
Photo Slide Stream allows users to create custom photo slideshows on the iPad without burning up your memory. Simply download the app for the extremely reasonable price of $1.99 and link it with your Facebook, Picasa and Twitpic accounts. Presto! Your pics on your iPad, instantly.
Granted, the app does not support some of the other popular photo sharing services out there (where’s Flickr?) but it does cover some sizable bases by linking to Facebook and Twitter. You can also access photos already on your iPad with the app.
Choose favorites and build custom slideshows right from the Photo Slide Stream app. Your iPad’s display makes a beautiful digital picture frame, and you don’t have to shell out megabucks on an extra accessory.
In case you can’t already tell, this is an awfully smart app. There aren’t any gimmicks or scams here. Just buy the app once, sync it to your services, and you’re done. Instant photo satisfaction without any hassle.
The Photo Slide Stream iPhone app makes quick business of downloading photos from your sharing services, especially if you’re using a fast internet connection. The app’s effectiveness is limited based on your connection speed, and coverage. The app is quite useless if you’re offline.
Setting up the app, adding pics to favorites and launching a slideshow are all extremely easy to do. However, we did experience a few unfortunate glitches with the app. When changing between users in the Facebook interface the app randomly closed no less than ten times. It also took the app an extremely long time to integrate the photos from the camera roll. Our colorful pics appeared as blank files for upwards of an hour while the app slowly imported the content.
It’s hard to beat the Photo Slide Stream app for convenience and ingenuity. It is our sincere hope that the service opens up to include more photo sharing partners and resolves those functionality issues we mentioned earlier.
At $1.99 this app won’t break the bank, and it is a lot cheaper and easier than buying a digital picture frame and slowly transferring photos to it. For the sake of sheer convenience, we recommend adding Photo Slide Stream to your favorite app list.
Photo Slide Stream iPhone app requires iOS 3.2 or later and is compatible with iPhone, iPod touch and iPad. A small expedite fee was paid by the developer to speed up the publication of this review.
