Pinky Promise iPhone App Video Review
We don’t want our trustworthiness score to dip. So we pinky promise you’ll love our iPhone app review of Pinky Promise.
Concept & Features:
You remember the Pinky Promise. When you were a child nothing trumped an eternal vow taken over two linked pinkies. The digital version of this age-old pact lets you hold your friends to their word, and vice versa.
In the Pinky Promise iPhone app you create and accept commitments from friends and family. Each promise is sealed with a signature pinky swipe. It’s the closest you’re gonna get to making a physical pinky promise on an iPhone.
Think of it as an app to help you always keep your appointments, or a way to remind a friend that she better not bail on girl’s night.
Depending on how many of your accepted promises you keep, the app keeps track of your trustworthiness. If you always keep your promises, your score will stay at a cool 100 percent. Skip out on a commitment and that score drops.
A handy in-app calendar interface can help you keep track of upcoming commitments. There is also an integrated notification system and a My Promises section, so it’s really easy to remember.
We do wish the app allowed personal promises so you could make full use of the app’s calendar, but alas, it’s not an option.
On the up side there is a constant improvement process in the Pinky Promise iPhone app. A recent 1.2 update opened up the app to international phone numbers and updated an important phone number input keyboard layout.
Layout & Design:
Creating an arrangement with the Pinky Promise iPhone app is quite easy. In order to send a promise you must have the person’s phone number saved in your iPhone’s contact list. We wish developers would tweak this a bit to include manual number entry.
Otherwise each element of the promise is easily customized, from date and time to description. Promises appear on the recipient’s phone, and then they are free to accept or reject your Pinky Promise request. You can easily track their response in your app’s Promise Request area.
An simple scroll design allows you to access each section of the Pinky Promise iPhone app with ease. Fun graphics and a streamlined UI make this app a breeze to use. We have no complaints.
Download and install Pinky Promise from iTunes for $.99. To get the most out of this app it is imperative that your friends have the app too. So install it on your iPhone and your significant other’s, then get your friends in on the action.
We think the Pinky Promise iPhone app is an interesting take on socializing and managing responsibilities. Think of it as your personal engagement director. You definitely want to get in on the fun.
Pinky Promise iPhone app requires iOS 4.2 or later and is compatible with iPhone, iPod touch and iPad. A small expedite fee was paid by the developer to speed up the publication of this review.
