Photographic Journey iPad App Video Review
One part history lesson, three parts stunning photographic display, this iPad app gives users a multimedia learning experience that captivates minds and imaginations alike.
If you’re ready to be amazed, love photography or have even a marginal appreciation of beauty, you want to pay attention to our iPad app review of Photographic Journey.
Concept & Execution:
The Photographic Journey iPad app is a showcase app, pairing the photography of Aeron Nersoya with unique historical articles and video compilations that make the stories behind the photos come alive.
More so it is an artistic interpretation of life, giving users a glimpse at everyday items and global treasures in a new way.
Photos are organized into collections. The app comes with two collections, Dandelion and Colorado St Bridge. Each collection contains a set of stunning pictures, an intelligent article about the subject full of rare facts and a video that combines photos and article content for delightful multimedia experiences.
Additional collections are available in the Photographic Journey iPhone app’s store interface, including photo tours of the Palace of Versailles and Notre Dame Cathedral.
The artist’s dedication to preserving the beauty of unique architecture and even the majestic beauty of a simple wild flower create a passionate display of photography that spans the world. The results are breathtaking.
Layout & Design:
I am in love with the elegant design of this app. The designers make optimal use of the iPad’s screen space, but manage to keep navigation simple and streamlined.
There are several unique navigation controls, such as the touch and hold motion that gives you access to the app’s main menu and the double tap feature, that brings you to any given collection’s first page. You can also tap the upper right-hand corner of any screen to add it as a bookmark for easy access in the future.
New users will appreciate a brief help menu that appears when you use the Photographic Journey iPad app for the first time, explaining these and other navigating tricks.
A few moments should be sufficient to familiarize yourself with app navigation, after that all you have to do is enjoy the app’s exquisite photographic collections at your leisure.
The Photographic Journey iPadapp and two initial photo collections are free to download from iTunes. That is an amazing deal considering the quality of this app, its content and extremely clever UI.
Additional collections cost $.99 to download and are available via in-app purchase. Currently there are only four total photo journeys available in the Photographic Journey iPad app. I hope we see more in the future.
Photographic Journey iPhone app requires iOS 3.2 or later and is compatible with iPad. A small expedite fee was paid by the developer to speed up the publication of this review.
