Get serious about your fitness with the App4Fit iPhone app from FuMacChu.com. With its rocking set of custom workout log settings and easy navigation, it’s plain to see why I was excited to write an iPhone app review of App4Fit.
Turn the App4Fit iPhone app into your new workout buddy. Use the app while you work out to keep you on track with custom workouts. Either use the pre-built exercises or create your own routine from scratch.
Once you have an exercise defined, use your iPhone while you work out to record reps, weights and more. The app even times your workout so you know how long it takes you to get your burn on.
There are tons of exercises preloaded in the app to create training routines, from hammer curls to dumbbell lateral raises. But I really like the option to add your own custom exercises. Name them anything you’d like, and even include pics of an exercise to liven up the app. This is a great way to include cardio moves in your workout, since the app does not have any.
Create and add as many workouts and exercises as you want. There aren’t any suggested diet plans or frequency suggestions. The App4Fit iPhone app is all about you, working out the way that you want, when you want.
There is a great graph you can use to track weight loss and gain. You can even export your workout history via CSV file or sync it with iTunes. Keeping track of your serious workouts was never easier.
Ease of use is definitely an important factor when you’re hard at work. A simple bottom tab design makes using the App4Fit iPhone app easy. Navigate between your current training page, workouts list and history with a touch.
It’s particularly simple to log your progress during a workout. Just tap the exercise, then tap done. Another tap moves you on to the next set of reps so you’re good to go next time around the circuit.
Graphics & Design:
There are not any flashy designs or fun UIs in the App4Fit iPhone app. It is completely simple, and utilizes a lot of basic iPhone design features.
The app could use a little polishing. Although this no-nonsense app is so focused on creating a record, it’s easy to see why developers just weren’t worried about a pretty package.
It costs $1.99 to download App4Fit in iTunes. This is such a simple app that I’m surprised it isn’t $.99. But it does function extremely well and provide a great service to health nuts.
Despite my bargain hunter ways, I still think App4Fit for iPhone is a good value.
App4Fit iPhone app requires iOS 4.2 or later and is compatible with iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad. A small expedite fee was paid by the developer to speed up the publication of this review.
