With Futurama Head in a Jar iPhone app you create your very own collection of characters to preserve for all time.
To begin, select your species from male, female, alien and robot. Then deck out your fabulous creation by selecting a head shape, eyes, nose, hair, background and even extras. Touch your current head and scroll to the side to view all the options available.
It’s a pretty basic concept, one that’s sure to get a chuckle out of Futurama fans. Some items will bring back fond show memories, such as Flexo’s beard and Nibbler’s antennae.
Once you are done customizing, slap a name on your head and set it up in a collection. The app allows you to organize heads in a unique museum to help keep track of them. You can also save Futurama Head in a Jar creations to your phone to use as contact pictures and more. Or, if sharing is more your thing, share them through Facebook, Twitter or email.
I do wish there was a way to compare and contrast your heads or add custom drawing to them. Despite these faults, Futurama Head in a Jar iPhone app is really pretty fun.
The Futurama Head in a Jar iPhone app also contains video clips from recent episodes of the show. You can set a show reminder so you don’t miss a moment, connect with schedules and connect directly to full episodes available in the iTunes store.

Using Futurama Head in a Jar iPhone app is pretty simple. Perhaps even simpler than learning to play the holophoner, and you don’t need the devil’s hands to do it.
The app’s main screen allows you to access your head museum or the video clips preloaded in the Futurama Head in a Jar iPhone app with a simple touch. Creating a head is a bit more complicated, but easy to follow red arrows help you figure out which way to scroll and identify multiple rows of options.
The classic Futurama feel of this app is expected and I would be disappointed in anything else.
Futurama Head in a Jar iPhone app is not the first character building app to bring cartoon favorites to life, but it is a deliciously frivolous and amusing app. On top of that, it’s free. I think fans will definitely appreciate the easy fun of the app.
