Lost Monsters iPhone App Video Review
You may think you’ve seen every variation of match four puzzler apps out there. But now there is Lost Monsters, an iPhone app from developer Lefty Games that will have you thinking fast and matching faster to return a city’s lost monsters to their worried owners.
Think you have what it takes to unlock all 12 monsters? Read on for all the ghoulish details in my iPhone app review of Lost Monsters.
The idea is to match up four or more monsters to free them from the blue building they’ve been hiding in. Monsters must be touching on one of their four sides to be considered matched. Monsters can move up, down, left and right. It’s a pretty simple concept, but Lost Monsters iPhone app pulls out all the stops to make this game special.
Monsters who are left alone, unmatched for too long will slowly begin boarding up their windows. If you fail to match them, eventually they will leave the window, never to be returned to their loving owners. Pretty sad, right? So step up your game! Oh, and remember to collect the bombs so you can burst boarded up windows and keep the game going.
Drag and drop lines of monsters in all directions to make your matches. Earn bonuses for multiple lines and so on. Monitor your progress on each level at the bottom of the screen. Earn achievements in-app, then take your score global with Open Feint integration. You can also share through Facebook and Twitter.
Aaaaahhhh! Monsters! Sorry, had to get that out of my system. Thankfully, Lost Monsters iPhone app is populated with some pretty adorable characters. Sure, they have googly eyes and fangs, but that just makes them all the more endearing.
All 12 monsters are unique, with intricate details and fun names. Matching games are universally appealing, but an app with this much color and fun reaches out to a wider audience base, specifically a younger one, to get them excited about the app.
The introduction story line cartoon is also pretty fun. Developers definitely put in some time creating a special iPhone app with a lot of colorful flair.
I had no issues with the Lost Monsters iPhone app’s performance or interface. The touch response is quick and navigation is easy. A dedicated menu button on each level allows you to pause a game. Return to it by reopening the app, selecting play, and choosing continue.
Settings and sharing are also easy to access. Each level has a share option after you beat it, so there’s no rummaging around for the right menu when you get an amazing score.
Lost Monsters iPhone app is one of those games that appeals to every generation. You will love playing it, but so will your kids. The fun story line and challenging game play make it a perfect way to unwind. Spending a little green (and I do mean little) is not going to be a problem for this app.
Lost Monsters iPhone app requires iOS 3.0 or later and is compatible with iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad. A small expedite fee was paid by the developer to speed up the publication of this review.
