Are you looking for a complete project and goal manager for your iOS device? If so, check out iTask from developer TopLineSoft. It’s an interesting task manager iPhone app with some unique features for users to utilize.
I enjoyed this iPhone app review, and found that right from startup, iTask has a fairly simple set of options. Users may View Projects, see their ToDo list, or see their Done list. Tapping on the “+” button allows users to add a project to the list.
When adding a project, you’ll be prompted to name and add a description to your project. Then, you may edit the project with more info. One of the options is for a flow chart, where you can add different steps in the project and connect them via arrows. It’s remarkably easy to add, edit and delete different points in this task list.
After you’ve finished editing the task, you can add it to the list of ToDos. Once you’ve done this, you won’t be able to go back and edit it. Mark the different steps as completed in the ToDo list as you complete them. Then, once all steps are done, you can see the finished project under Completed Projects. It’s a fairly simple yet effective goal system that is really nicely done. My only critique is that I wish there was a visual of the flow chart under the View Projects. Currently, you have to edit the project to see the visual. I would prefer if simply tapping on the project should show the visual. Other than that, the features of iTask really are great!
The iTask iPhone app is very easy to navigate, thanks to its nice layout. The developers kept the app simple, yet didn’t sacrifice on features. I’ve reviewed several other task and goals apps, yet the simple, light layout of iTask is one of my favorites thus far. There isn’t a lot of flashy graphics, but the iPhone app runs extremely smooth and helps keep you from getting distracted from the task at hand.
Priced at $0.99, iTask is a steal. It’s definitely a great iPhone app for increasing your productivity and keeping you on the goal. While there are a few tweaks that would be appreciated if the developer added ‘em, overall the app is quite solid. Consider iTask for all your productivity needs if you find yourself having a difficult staying on task.
iTask iPhone app requires iOS 4.2 or later and is compatible with iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad. A small expedite fee was paid by the developer to speed up the publication of this review.
