Bonnie’s Brunch iPhone Video App Review
Bonnie is taking her four-wheeled brunch machine on the road to Paris. Along the way she will hone her brunch making skills, meet some characters and see the world in Bonnie’s Brunch from Funny Lab Studios, a fast-paced dash style app for iPhone.
I found out helping Bonnie fill her customers’ brunch orders at maximum speed is the name of the game while performing my iPhone app review. It starts out easy enough; a bagel here, a croissant there. But very quickly it becomes apparent that Bonnie’s Brunch iOS game is seriously challenging.
There are 50 challenging levels and a lot of brunch slinging fun in the Bonnie’s Brunch app. A story telling approach tutorial will walk you through the basics and help when new items and customers come visit your brunch wagon. Make the customer’s order as fast as possible to earn either good, expert or master levels. Meet goals and try to win three stars on every level to fill up your trophy room.
There are a lot of dash style games out for iOS. A fun road trip story line, interesting locations and bonus levels keep you guessing in Bonnie’s Brunch for iOS.
Kitschy, cartoon-like graphics give Bonnie’s Brunch a festive feel and add something special to the game. Although they are not inspiring to be 3D or doing anything cutting edge, the cartoon graphics are anything but basic. There are five different background locations to keep things interesting. The customers with reacting faces are the most amusing graphic work in the app. The bright colors and busy scenes keep Bonnie’s Brunch from falling flat.
With all the on-screen activity, Bonnie’s Brunch keeps the controls unobtrusive. Tap the pause button in the upper right-hand corner to exit to toggle sound and music, access the main menu at any time or, of course, just to pause the game. The home page has an extremely helpful about section where you can learn about Bonnie’s Brunch iOS app before playing a single level.
Scroll through and select the board you would like to play. Each level will display the amount of stars received while playing it so you can go back and optimize your scores with ease. The English is a little rocky on some of the app’s screens, but that is my only user interface complaint.
Dash games are notoriously addictive, and Bonnie’s Brunch is among the best in the bunch. There are no in-app ads, and the game will provide hours of all ages fun for anyone who downloads it. Not a bad deal at all.
Bonnie’s Brunch iPhone app requires iOS 3.1.3 or later and is compatible with iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad. A small expedite fee was paid by the developer to speed up the publication of this review.
