Published by Fotonauts, the developers behind impressive free iPhone/iPad application Fotopedia Heritage, Fotopedia National Parks is the perfect app for research, trip planning or just leisure. The app lets you delve into the beauty of all 58 US National Parks on your iOS device, with a user interface that is both powerful and easy to use.
To begin, you can start your own photographic ‘journey’ from the home page, begin a slideshow that will display an almost endless collection of photos or you can discover a new region suggested to you by the app. Each photo in Fotopedia National Parks comes with a complete description, obtained by tapping on the information icon to the left of the screen.
Using the other tools in the sidebar, you can view the exact location that the photo was taken via Google Maps (satellite view) – perfect if you want to visit there one day yourself! You can search for photos from a particular area or park, if there is a place that strikes your interest or you would like to learn more about.
Easy sharing lets you send photos via Twitter, Facebook or email to friends and you can even save the photos from within the app to use as your device’s wallpaper.
